Play Lids head to head. Both will get 30 odd touches but Lids uses it 10 times better than Fyfe. Both will hit the scoreboard but Lids would have more assists with his 55 metre passes.

Whatever we do, we're not going to be able to totally take him out of the game. All we can really hope is that whenever he does get the pills someone's on his hammer so they don't hurt us as much. Here's a list of the options we've got.

Shaun Grigg
Probably my first choice to have a crack at him. Griggy is in stellar form and has done some great lockdown roles this year while still hurting teams the other mob. He's probably nearly got the tank to go with Fyfe but sometimes gets lost around stoppages, and that's where Fyfe does the bulk of his work.

Trent Cotchin
Just don't think Cotch has the strength to go with him, Fyfe will push him off the ball at stoppages so I don't think this is a really good option.

Kamdyn Macintosh
Kamma is strong & quick, whether he has the smarts to run with arguably the best player in the comp is another question. I wouldn't mind it if we started with him on Fyfe with Grigg as plan b if things start to go bad.

Dustin Martin
Maybe we could use Dusty on him around stoppages and have someone like Grigg or Kmac run with him in open play. Might be the only midfielder we have that's strong enough to beat him at the contest. Don't think it will happen though.

Brett Deledio
In my opinion Lids is in the top 5 players in the comp at the moment. My concern would be his tank, he's been playing mainly half-forward with the odd run in the middle. Maybe he could have the odd run on him to give someone a rest but I'd rather see him used up forward and have the Freo defenders worrying about him rather than him worrying about Fyfe.

I'd go head to head with Dusty/Cotch/Lids (short stints) with McIntosh/Grimes to help out on him when he's resting forward...
