Properly his best 4 Qtr game for us so far. His kicking let him down a bit (should have kicked 5 ).
He will only get better with more games and is the future of the club.
Imagine how many he and Mooney will kick when we stop playing dumb caveman football!!!

Or when he wheeled around for a weak snap that also missed?

Forgiving that, best game he's played and looked much more impressive. It is only his 12/13th game (not sure which) so he is taking great strides.
Presenting very well now so we need to use him across across Half forward.

I don't believe anyone wrote him off on this forum. Its all the idiots on here claiming he will be a superstar that is amusing. I was one who said he will not be a champion (60+ goals per year regularly), and I'll stand by that. On the other hand, if he kicks 40+ for the remainder of his career (more reasonable) I would be very happy, as I think he is capable of no more.... especially with the $hit delivery our midfield offer.

Yeah, he and Mooney are excellent on both feet. Lets hope Hawkins is too.
Yep, in my opinion that's one of the big reasons why Ablett Snr was so brilliant and dominated... he could create on both sides, which is harder to predict as an opponent.
If we have these guys down there using those abilities, things could get quite exciting!

Great too see him looking alot more comfortable on the footy field. Looks alot more sure of himself, and I quite enjoy watching him celebrate a little after a goal. Shows he's enjoying his footy

Pfft.. until he kicks 60+ a year like a heap of people on here are predicting, I'm well and truely in the right... One thing is for sure, we won't come up against opposition as crap as Carlton were last night in '07, so get your hand off it.
And as far as Thompson goes, I for one still say he should go at end '07 if not before. Why can't Geelong play with last nights intensity every game?? Why won't players run for eachother like last night?? COACHING & leadership!! It takes a week of heavy media ridicule to get our players near their best... Thompson and Co. should be preparing the players every week!

So you expect every 14 game key forward prospect to come out and kick 60 goals for the year. You are a tool pure and simple. Be a man and admit that you were too early to judge him. At worst he is going to be a very good player with the development we have seen over the last 2 years. Considering he failed to go through the normal development of the TAC comp I would have thought what he has shown was outstanding...

I'm getting tired of correcting brainless idiots on this forum... I should make you go back and read the relevant posts in this thread, but since your a simple person, I'll make it simple for you.
People on here were coming out and saying he will be a 60+ goal kicker / a Lloyd, Fevola, a "Champion" etc. I think he will be a 40+ goal kicker, and if this happens I'll be very happy. I judged him when he had 12 goals from 12 games or so, and I don't think any differently now. How have I judged him too early? How does 2 good games make him a champion?
Mate, your just like all the old women at the footy, say something that isn't 100% positive about an Ablett and you get jumped on. Next time get your facts straight before having a dig, and you won't look like an idiot.

I would be willing to make a bet on 40+ for the year. I don't remember anyone saying he will score 80+ this year, just that he is on track too. He is on track to kick 88 in the regular season.
Given that in the first game he played on an undersized Gilbee and the second game was a 80 point victory that average looks unsustainable even if his form continues.
