Dual premiership player, out of contract at years end potentially the year is over so can only judge him on previous years

Is a good third tall defender the question is is he good due to system or is he actually good and would be as good in an inferior system?
I think part due to the system, part he is actually good ( if not he won't get selected after the GF scandal )

If the rumours are true that lists will be reduced to 35 next year and the salary cap reduced by 30%.

Then I think that Broad will be out the door.

Role player in a very good side.

Wouldn't be worth much on the open market.

Probably right, but he is very underrated, even on our board. Wins alot of 1v1's, super courageous, can run all day. Usually beats his opponent but doesnt get alot of the ball.

Also agree. In our two recent grand finals he’s obliterated his opponent.
Incredibly underrated role player who won’t get much interest from other clubs. Plays the negating third tall defender role extremely well.

We will re-sign him for under the value he provides to our team.

How safe is he if the AFL bring in a list reduction?

He's well and truly a part of their best side, so would assume he is definitely safe.
This isn't the right thread but it would be interesting to see who they would get rid of.

How many are they reducing lists to?
First of heard of this.
What’s the rationale?
There's talk of reducing the lists to 35 for financial reasons.

Doubt he'll hang around if hes still on the fringes
You can’t blame a guy if he leaves to play regular league football.

Interesting where he will go.

Suns need to delist a lot of players and most likely won’t a spot available.

My team Fremantle already have similar players and we will struggle to reduce our list.

West Coast is stacked in the midfield.

Lions have the same issues as the Suns and Fremantle.

So I am not sure, where is a good fit.

Yeah I wouldn't blame him and I bet the club would help him get where he wanted.

I rate him. Hope he stays.

Broad would be stupid to leave unless someone offered him significant overs. He’s the type who is really excelling at his role with Richmond why would you risk moving to a different system and potentially falling down the pecking order at another club.
:¥0

Depends if a club crying out for a quality medium size defender (like North Melbourne) could offer him a longer contract and more financial security.
