Pie 4 Life
Hall of Famer
Nathan Brown
After a heroic and unbelievable 2010 season which accumulated in a premiership medal after holding Saints skipper Nick Riewoldt goalless in the Grand Final Replay, Brown's 2011 was quite the opposite.
Injuring himself during the pre-season, he was unlikely to make a return during the 2011 season, but diligently trained hard with the group in a bid to try and make that chance a reality. He also stated early in the year that he was guaranteed to sign with the Pies, amongst all the talk of the Pies losing a few gun players.
Nathan Brown travelled to Arizona where he re-injured himself to well and truly rule him out of the season, but didn't blame the club, saying the injury could have happened walking across his living room floor.
In 2012, Pies fans can expect to see a bigger, better Nathan Brown, to help establish himself as a premier young defender, and along with Reid, hold down KP roles for the next ten years. His inclusion also allows flexibility for Tarrant to go forward when required.
If nothing else, Pies fans will hope the big number #16 can stay injury free and play a full season and continue the form which he showed during the 2010 finals series.
