As a Collingwood supporter (and a Demon outsider), I'd like to congratulate Nathan Brown on a fantastic season to date. In the Herald Sun yesterday Brown was named as the 2nd best Demon this season. If he doesn't make the All Australian team this season there is something very wrong.

He is always referred to as a youngster because people have only started to hear about him recently, but he is actually 27 and part of our leadership group.

Yet still many fans left him out of their best 22's at the start of this season!

Heart & soul is "The Worm".

I'll never forget that first game at Carlton in 98, gutsy stuff!

Johnson#26 it's funny that you bring up Dogga here as I was just thinking during the Pies vs Roos game that Ben Johnson had really arrived, until then I hadn't thought much of him. It's amazing how long it takes outsiders to notice isn't it?

I was lucky enough to be in a position to be a player sponsor a couple of years ago. Cameron Schwab was at the club and I was talking about the new recruits with him, I wanted to sponsor a new recruit and watch his career develop. It was the year we got White, Johnstone, Rigoni, Brown and Longmuir and Schwabby didn't even hesitate, he said "go with Brown."
Brown is a great bloke and I hope he gets everything out of footy he can get, he is definitely one that deserves it with all the hard work he has done and injuries he's had in the past. You couldn't meet a more genuine bloke.

Awesome today. Stuck to the plan well. Today was part of the 'keeping a lid on things process'. That should keep us out of the spotlight for a while, allowing us to go along doing our own thing.

:D

I've always noticed Brown. Since the end of 2000 when he was doing well until Clive Waterhouse? whacked his head and it knocked him out for the season. Since then he has really kicked on, and its good to see the media finally realise that players like Brown exist.

It was Waterhouse, in that synchronised diving incident :D

That was Browny's last game of 2000 so he missed the finals.

He was unable to play after ht in the 2002 Semi against Adelaide after yet another soft tissue injury. The bloke's had no luck but he always gets back on the horse.
