If I was St Kilda I would sign the guy for another 2 years ,( he is not even 23 yet ) if he comes good we will have a guy who could play for another 7 yrs.
Sydney have had Johnson on there books for years , most probably knowing he will never get back to his best due to ACL problems.
And who cares if we have one spot on the list taken , we most probably have a few more guys worse than Freeman on it.
They knew Johnson could play. Sorry but if he can’t play this year then his time must be up. Doing the same thing over and over again is a sign of madness

From St Kilda Instagram account.
I can understand the club recuiting him he is exactly what we needed with his frame and break away speed.

Lets hope he can get back at it and force his way into the AFL side at some stage throughout the year. It would be a tragedy to see a kid with that much perserverance and potential not make it.

6-8 weeks is what club said last week

Now down to 4, as was the original timeframe anyway.

Hope he gets a good run at it and plays a handful of games at the back end of the year.

Best he can hope for is a rookie contract I reckon. Kids cooked.

It must be the most frustrating thing having what is such a minor injury just derailing your career.

Can anyone remember if Freezer has had any prior surgeries on his hamstring before? I think they might have done cleanouts but this sounds like it was a proper repair this time around which may just have been the key to get him playing.

It will be interesting if he finally gets to debut as with so many pre-seaons behind him he absolutely already has an AFL level body. The impact you get with Geelong players coming on after 3/4 years in the system under VFL bodes well for him if his strings just stay together.

Reading the latest injury report he is doing alright. Still 4/5 weeks away, but is running at 85% pace. I imagine 85% pace for him would be a little bit quicker than any posters on this forum.
Nope. I can run 100% of my pace

Great news with Freezer slotted in for a round 15 comeback just in time for a tilt at finals football.
By his comments I think he has got his eye on Round 8 (so he can play the last 15 games of the year). If we are 1 and 6 by then he may just walk straight in against the Dockers! That would be awesome.

patience is required with this guy - looks like the kid is just about there , when you invest so much in a kid you must give him as much time as possible.
We have had Pierce on our list for 4 years and by the looks the kid has gone backwards , Freeman is a top 10 draft pick and has most probably more skill than half of our squad.
Look at Embiid for the 76ers basketball team , didn't play until about his 3th year and the guy is 24 where Freeman is not even 23 yet.
Hope he comes good and proves all of our negative Saints fans wrong.

Could be a great story for us this year - I'm not prepared to throw in the towel until he does, and will keep holding out hope he'll make his mark on our team eventually.
If he actually gets back and makes his debut, I wonder whether that would actually have a material affect on the crowd if it is a Saints home game. I think there is a huge amount of interest amongst Saints fans, although maybe that is just the same ones who will go every week anyway.

If I was in Australia, I'd definitely go to that game. Could be a talking point for years! I'd imagine the Footy Record would be worth a bit as well in years to come.

It depends on how big his family is.
