Its going to huge for the kid - just hope he has a good run at it - it will be a great story if he can push for a spot in the firsts - it will be some good news for us for once - he just might be our superstar
Steady on. He played VFL next year. He was good, without being consistently awesome, though maybe he would have worked up to that if Armo hadn't injured him.

Playing a VFL match is another step along the path but let's not pretend he just has to play the game to rubber stamp his way into the Saints firsts.

If he remains uninjured and plays well over a number of games, he will be granted the chance to play his *FIRST* AFL match.

Just as a reminder, after 24 matches, Paddy McCartin us just starting to look like a player.

I get what you're saying - let's just look at getting him into the VFL on a regular basis as a first step. He's probably not going to be our saviour this year, but maybe by the end of it hopefully he'll be more or less where Nick Coffield currently is.

He is picked for Sandy this week
Lets hope he can turn the corner get a chance to have a career, he deserves it

Interesting to see how he goes in the reserves, obviously likely to start slow.

But in the last 2 years we saw him at stages look viably selectable for senior football and then at times he wasn't at vfl standard.

From what I can make out the two picks for Collingwood for Nathan ended up being Rupert Wills 2015 Pick 63, and the 2016 Second round pick went through a few hands before ending up with Port. That was Pick 33 and was Willem Drew. He is still on their list, but hasn't played a game. Been injured quite a bit.
