7 Days difference is massive LOL if they pick him next week I swear it will make em look dumb as dog shit. If he's ready he's ready, play him, you got to see what you have in the bloke, no point delaying it because he needs one more game or 7 more days to prove he is ready, like that's just ridiculous. If he isn't ready now he won't be ready next week.
 
They might just want him to push himself and really play a blinder to give them no choice but to pick him. Then he'll be ready.

Could be easier said than done to squeeze him in next week (presumably mostly forward) if Acres and Battle are also both ready to return tho.

Unless we lose to Carlton, we might not want to make many unforced changes.

If he played this week more pressure on freeman this week then next. we would not be expected to win next week. If he plays next week it will be against a good player. Very good opportunity for him.
 
For the record...

I have seen it with my own eyes. Players keep a journal of their progress. They have peer to peer accountability and keep notes on what they did well, and where they did not. They are then given areas to work on.

So I would have absolutely no doubt that Nathan is in no different position than any other player in terms of feedback.

Agree or disagree, the club is out to win as many games as possible this year.

He didn’t train in the main session so he isn’t ready now. And why won’t he be ready next week ?

Will be a keen observer on this one... in the days where teams/players talk about 6 day breaks and so on, if he is to play next week he is coming off a 5 day break (playing on Sunday) and a player with his history this probably isn't ideal. Let alone getting up and getting through the main session on the Wednesday which seems to be a prerequisite for getting in, only a few days later. This is the part which just doesn't make sense to me, what is to be gained from potentially playing restricted minutes either a half to 3/4 of a game if he is to play against Richmond.
My best guess is a debut against either the Giants or Bulldogs will be on the cards all because of the Sunday games which Sandy play whilst we play Friday.

Very good point. This make's Lonie's inclusion even more mind boggling. I don't know why they didn't just bring Freeman in this week and have Newnes/McKenzie play as the pressure forward

Let's have a bit of faith in the club and back there decision not to go with Freeze this week and maybs not even next week.
We all want him to get a game, but gotta look after his long term interests as remember he is only 23 so could still be taking a long term approach

I think we have been looking after his long term interest for the last 3 years,
Could still be taking the long term approach ? Please if thats the case give his list spot to someone who is half a chance of making it.

Disagree, I think they think he will play good footy for us, otherwise why not just give the fans what they want and give him a game knowing that he might blow up again cuz he is not ready. Gotta think in the blokes interests too, still plenty of games left for the year so give him another couple in the VFL to get the fitness level up and then its time for a FRRRREEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZEEEEEEE

I know no one says play him to blow up, but plenty saying we should of played him and cracking it that we havent played him this week, but obviously the club isnt playing him for some reason?
We just have to trust that decision.
Hell I was a little excited when the rumour was floating around but have to back the clubs decision
 
Sucks that two weeks in a row Sandy play on the Sunday while St Kilda play the following Friday night. Not great scheduling that.

I wonder if we had a few of our best play reduced minutes in the last quarter against Coburg in case they were to play tonight, hence their comeback in that quarter?
