So I just saw the clip from the Channel 9 news this evening where Freeze said, and I quote.....

”There’s no guarantees about a contract next year so I’ll just
go out on the weekend and play as best as I can....”

Now considering Sandy doesn’t have a game this weekend maybe he let the cat out the bag?

That would just be soo us. He comes in for 3 or 4 games, tears it up ( pardon the pun )
then takes off to the shit stains after we have nursed him on good coin for how long is it now 3 or 4 yrs?

Confident the young man will want to stay with us and repay the good faith!
Form pending that is! Big Big month coming up for Freeza's career!

Hope the season ends really well for him and us!

Lethlean told the players OOC they're welcome to do that.
Even if that's the case, it would be a juvenile and disgusting excuse not to play him.
If we delist him without giving him a game I'm off to the Giants until Tassie get a team. I went there once.

I can't remember wanting a player to play his first game as badly as Nath.

well before my time but i do recall some old timers telling be about a game in the early 60's where Carl Ditterich Ian Stuart and Bob Murray all debut on the same day.. aparently the anticipation for that was pretty high and the result didnt let them down either ....

I wonder if the club would be conscious of the need to give supporters something like that again? Freez, Paton and Hugh all at once would get peeps to the game if nothing else, and if the right guys are dropped (names withheld) it could even possibility bolster the team. The club has seemed so out of touch in so many ways lately, it would be a win in many respects even if the result doesn't go our way....l can hope for another 36hrs at least....

just reading a bit more into that game i came across this :
Ditterich was one of four St Kilda debutants in round one, 1963 along with Ian Stewart, Bob Murray and Jim Wallis.

Ditterich, Stewart and Murray all went on to have long and distinguished careers with St Kilda. All three won club best and fairests and were named in the club’s team of the century as well as the Hall of Fame. Stewart and Murray were both part of the 1966 premiership team that Ditterich famously missed due to suspension.

Wallis’ career wasn’t quite as decorated, but he was originally considered to be in the same bracket as his contemporaries.

A ruckman with a knack of presenting well at the end of tight games, Wallis played 39 games in three years before his career came to an end at just 23 years of age with a knee injury.

4 debutants !! 3 going on to be hall of famers... i wonder if the people around the ground realised what they were seeing the start of .. chances are now days the knee injury would be 3 months off and back to it but back then that was it carreer over

I know the club shouldn't make on field decisions based off what the fans want, but in this terrible season it would be great for them to give us this one good news story.

He's bairly had a bad game for Sandy this year so he should definitely be give a shot especially since we had a few passengers last week. We gave Phillips a game, not to have a shot at him, we gave Wright a game even tho surely we knew how that would go. Get the lad in!! Amazing how he has kept perservering thru adversity. Most would of hung up the boots long ago
 
Freezer had better get a game this week. All the bullshit they're peddling about earnimg games is an absolute farse as if it were the case Weller wouldn't have played this year and neither wouod Newnes. The only reason Freezer won't get a go is if Richo's too much of a bitch to risk losing a game as I'm sure in his mind that's the justification for not playing kids.

Just an aside. The kid is not Judd/Voss/Harvey combined.

We ALL have to cut him so slack once he makes the seniors.

He has played ZERO AFL matches.
