Massively overboard. The new Tom ledger
Not really.

High profile recruit. The club wanted us to take the journey with him and we did. We all wanted him to overcome the incredible odds he was facing.

With the club's encouragement we learned of the extreme lengths he had gone to in an effort to make it, such as flying to Germany to undergo radical treatment at his own expense.

We hoped and we hoped he would be selected. Our expectations grew with each Sandy game that he managed to play.

And finally he was in. A promising debut and the next week a first goal that saw teammates and supporters unbelievably excited in what was a totally shitful and depressing season.

We hoped that maybe this would form the basis of a strong pre-season where maybe, just maybe, he would start to gain in confidence and start to get a bit of his speed back.

Instead what do we get? Delisted.

But not just delisted. Delisted as first cab off rank. Delisted all by himself on day 1 of delistings. Nothing from the club just "he's delisted". Explanation? Don't worry about that.

Whether the decision is right or wrong, anyone with half a brain could see decision would lead to an enormous outpouring of emotion from frustrated fans. But we get nothing except "...more to follow". WTF?

With respect, the only similarity between Freezer and Tom Ledger is the fact that as of now neither is a St Kilda player.

Forget the cursed jumper, which player is going to want to be the BF sponsored player from now on? Nathan Wright, who is on pretty shaky ground and now Freeze
boydie I think we’d better rethink next season!

It’s always been that way since I started it. Nick Heyne the original victim.

It wasn't a promising debut. It was the opposite. He barely touched it.

Because the club hasnt released the delistings yet. The media got a hold of it and run with Freeman because he is known while our other delistings are nobodies.

It sux but we have proffesional high performance science guys with super sensor measuring equipment qualified enough to be able to make decisions on a players ability to cope with recovery and preperation. They have clearly come to a decision that he cannot.
Its sad but its not the first or last time an afl player cant physically handle the rigours of professional football.
Please don't use the word professional in reference to our club in any department. It just doesn't fit.

Well that’s it. It’s got to stop. I don’t want to be responsible for putting another player’s career in jeopardy! o_O

On what planet is a player in any sport written off after a quiet debut? Especially one with undoubted psychological issues to overcome like Freezer?

It's been 5 years!!!!!!!!!

The traits that got him draft aren't there anymore. Not all players work out!

Really don't understand the melting over this. .
Maybe its to do with the time and money spent getting him right and then when he's the fittest he's been for three years we axe him. And that's after playing just two games with limited game time. Seriously what did they expect from him in those games ? Clearly his papers were already stamped.

If he had torn a hammy again I could understand it but his legs were as good as they have been since he's been at the club.

If you wanted to you could easily use the same logic in regard to Paddy. Four years of F all. But still we persist and forgive despite him playing a lot more than 2 games. And he's injured yet again.

Why delist only one player tonight? Where are the others. Ridiculous .

Because the club hasn't announced it. The media including the AFL media have decided to let it out.
Club will no doubt have something to say once all exit meetings have taken place.

So we are going to cull cull cull and have all these list spaces, then what?
They havent just made this decision without forward planning. Be patient. Players will be traded bringing in draft worthy picks. Players will be brought in without the need for trading via free agency etc. to counter any delistings. Rookies will be upgraded.

Incredibly surprised. I remember hearing a few weeks ago he was stiff to be dropped. Now delisted? How can you go from stiff to be dropped to delisted in such a short amount of time..
Happens at every club.
Imagine playing every game for the year and then be told your not required next year.

Be patient!!?! I’m a flipping saints supporter. Isn’t that a pre requisite??

For me the absolute must delists are wright, gilbert and joyce. Been a loyal sainter for a long time, but if they stay after the season weve had. Were keeping Richo. On top of that delist other players that are better than the above mentioned, next year, its going to be a struggle:(

Can’t say I watched his 2 games but his numbers didn’t look that bad. His VFL numbers have always been quite high.

Surely if you’ve spent 3yrs trying to get him right you’d give him a rookie list spot for 1 more year?

Did he show nothing in those games?

His numbers were shite for a midfielder
