As I said,I am always happy to admit when I am wrong

For Collingwood supporters he left because of the money, for St Kilda supporters he left because he loves St Kilda, thinks their medical staff is better, will get more opportunities etc etc. The real answer is probably somewhere in the middle. The sticking point in negotiations with Collingwood was he wanted 3 years guaranteed money whereas I think we offered 2 years with incentives. St Kilda came with 3 years 300k no strings attached and given his history he would have been an idiot not to take it, added along with the points previously mentioned.

Didnt Aish move for money? He is from SA.

Stupid comment!

Everyone knows that Aish left to follow in the steps of, and be coached by his childhood hero who also cut and run from a lowly Brisbane... move to Collingwood so he could win 3 flags in a row.

Oh wait...

If anyone thinks Freeman didn't come to St Kilda because of money and security they are incorrect. We guaranteed him $1 million plus match payments, Collingwood around $500K plus match payments. A no brainer for a kid who had managed to play zero games and still hasn't to date.

Stavro, the Saints plane could crash on the way back from Perth and you'd put a positive spin on it. I've never read so much crap in my life justifying Freeman's signing.

He's one of 40 plus blokes, if he ever plays a bunch of games it's a bonus.
What did you think about Arces game today ?

Well there's the problem right there.

He'd also jump at a more positive opinion from a bunch of medico's, that's only natural after spending two years on the sidelines. It was an opportunistic signing by the Saints that could prove to be a masterpiece or a waste of a draft pick.

Keep it coming BS! i am sure that in 5 years from now if Freeman is a gun you will be telling everyone something different. Yes i do put a positive spin on alot of things - however you cant spin much of what you have had to say lately as its plain crap. Also i didn't justify his signing, i explained what the facts are during that period. Please correct me where i am wrong, which if you know half as much as what your saying you do - you will know i am pretty damn close to the money.

Rubbish. His offer was based upon playing games. A low base which he wasn't happy with. Where do you get your news from? Bigfooty? But if that makes you feel better, yeah ok, the Pies offered him more because 'tests' had come back positive from St Kilda. Great tests huh? I've heard it all now.
Haha mate only if you knew the kind of circus your club was running in regards to Freeman I think you'd retract your statement...your club offered him 4 years more money after the medical report came to the conclusion that your club wasn't treating his injury correctly and if the medicos went a different route, Nath's hammies would recover. So once your inept medical team got wind of the news then that is when they put that 4 year deal on the table. Freeman obviously declined, and came to us for less over 3 years. You're telling me that Nathan, a top 10 draft pick, would've had a difficult time cracking into a Collingwood side who is below the Saints on the ladder? Give it a rest.

Christ your medical 'gurus' only last week put Tom Langdon in hospital for 2 days for giving him the wrong injection for his knee injury.

Get a clue before you come here spewing that crap. It's complete drivel.

Believe what you want to believe mate. If that makes you feel better. I'm sure you all thought the same when Jessie Smith came to your club. Have a listen to some of the Freeman interviews when he mentioned he felt it was going to be even more difficult to break into the midfield with Treloar coming in to the team. Not drivel. Just fact.

We are the biggest club in the country with plenty of cash. I'm sure if our medical department had a negligent history they would be replaced.

And your biggest club in the country is the only club who deemed it necessary to parade their head of fitness in front of members to explain how badly injuries had been mismanaged.

Yep, all going swimmingly at the biggest club in the land

Yep and they will be gone if deemed necessary. Not sure what u are saying here. But as I've said, come end of the year, if they have a history of mismanagement, the club can afford to replace them. I'm just trying to work out the history of mismanagement saints fans have jumped on. Is it all based on Freeman? Was he mismanaged or did he simply have a chronic problem? Who knows? Our guys have a good history of returning well from ACLs. But it seems that you BIGFOOTY guys are experts in the medical field and are privy to internal info on injuries within Collingwood and how they are treated and how incompetent the medics are.

Jessie Smith?

Don't get me wrong, she's a looker, but I don't think we ever brought her into the club...

Thread topic is Nathan Freeman Updates, not Collingwood's incompetence. Please try and keep it on topic.
If you want to discuss Collingwood's mismanagement of injuries - then do so in a thread dedicated to it.
If the whole Collingwood mismanaged Freeman issue is being rehashed to counter Collingwood supporters who seem to delight in any delay in Freeman playing at AFL level, then its all been said before. Our position is clear. He is on our list. How and why has already been discussed ad nauseum. Genuine Collingwood supporter enquiries are welcome but I'd prefer this thread to document Nathan's performances and setbacks for poster information, not for point scoring by Collingwood or Saints supporters.

Pretty clear what I am saying, Davoren had to front the members at the end of 2014 after Freeman & a number of others all suffered long term injuries (that were initially minor). Not talking about Scharenberg as he came in with a dodgy foot & then did his knee.

Davoren is still there & the Pies still have injury issues.

Not a medical expert but certainly know people close to the inner sanctum who are flabbergasted how bad the transition from Buttifant to Davoren has been.

But if you're blind to your own club's failings because you're apparently the biggest, richest club well then you're probably ecstatic that you're sitting behind poor old StKilda after 6 rounds.

I've been told to my face by people in high places at our footy club, and judging by the other ITK's in this thread I'm pretty much on the money.

If they come in here to sprout rubbish then surely we're able to throw it back in their faces?

but how many times do we say the same things before the thread becomes unreadable? after the genuine discussion / news is drowned in reactionary stuff
