Looks like Freeman's not playing this weekend.

Jamie Cox said he pulled up really well, but as part of the 'plan' he's going to do a couple of weeks of strong conditioning because Sandy have a bye next weekend, then will be back playing in the Dev League the week after that.

Kind of disappointing because you want to see him string a few together, but the club have a long term plan for him and know what they're doing.

Every time I see this thread pop up I go into a state of mild panic as I open it up.

Our medical department is doing a fantastic job atm, hardly an injuries at all.

Have gotten Fisher and Gilbert right after long injury battles and after that spate of hamstring injuries early last season they have dried up.

Gives me a lot of faith when it comes to Freeman.

It's frustrating (and no doubt more so for Nathan than for us) but I am glad they're taking this softly, softly approach.

I am confident he will get there.

But if he doesn't, at least we won't look back and think maybe we rushed things. Everyone's giving it their best shot :thumbsu:

Forgotten about the first VFL dev game he played?
No. But really Freeman is just easing himself back in.
He stayed put in tge midfield for the whole game, skirting packs, getting his positioning right, and making sure he can actually play football again.
He would have played less than half a development match at 70% output.

Not a critisism. It makes sense. But I doubt he will have the fitness to play AFL this year.

Maybe if there was still a sub rule.

Only my opinion.

Not sure they are clowns but Nathan had surgery last year on his tendon and nerve near his hamstring. Do you research on the results after there is nerve damage.

I'm not sure you have played football but there is a big difference between running at full pace on a training track and running at top speed in a game.
Saw him running full pace on a football field on Saturday, through the middle then kicked it 55 metres to a pack for a goal.

As the original post said. You and your brother are full of shit.

I just saw Freeman and Longer and a few Sandy boys getting Grill'd - Freeman was getting around in converse all stars, they are like the worst shoes ever for someone with hammy issues. They are super flat and actually make you hammies under strain.
But he's got swag.

Swag > worsening ur hammy injury

Freeman should be in a full body cast outside training in my opinion.

I saw Freeman and Longer too but I'm sure they were getting KFC while smoking darbs and wearing inappropriate footwear ;):D
