My nephew played junior footy with him and i got to see him as a junior, i even pointed him out a few times as talented and fast. Yes he was a FIGJAM, wasnt well liked, but so were a couple of other promising kids who didnt get there, Nathan worked hard and made the step.

Just got to get him on the park, but i wouldn't gift him a game, he has to earn it, just like the rest of the boys.

It should be.
It may be tough though to have the same agility and speed as he did

With all the surgery's he's had, I highly doubt he'll ever get back to the full speed before the injury occurred.

I'm hoping he only loses that 5% though and not 10-15%.

Rors is the best person to ask.

Didn't Rioli have constant hamstring problems a couple years ago? He was able to be fixed and he certainly hasn't lost any speed or agility, in fact has become one of the best players in the comp and won a norm smith.

I think Freeman will be just fine.

They 'fixed' his hammies by not playing him in the midfield.

He'd twang them again if they made him run around more.
Not exactly a shining example of getting over dodgy hammies

I would love that. Give him a small taste. Imagine how hungry he'd be for more next year.

A lot needs to go right for him before that can happen (and wrong for the club that we aren't in the finals race)

He's a hungry young player! Rumour has it he once kicked 5 goals in a game when there was a sandwich in it for him!

Got through another game which is the main thing.

Had 12 touches and was only is second gear again

Dunno, but at least second gear is on the way to top gear and is far preferable to reverse gear.

I would think they'd be trying to load him up gradually before they let him go full tilt.
That probably doesn't mean two easy games, then blow your hamstring off the ground.

I imagine they have a particular plan for him to follow with the rest of the vfl season and finals in mind; build up to what he feels like is his top speed by 10% a week or whatever
