In reality, he's only played 2 senior games in 5 years. Pretty much a mature age recruit. Long way to go IMO.

If he was coming back after 50 games then different story, but he's missed too much football.

He's lost his speed, which was his weapon. If he can't get that back then he becomes just another mid competing against 1000 other mids.

That said, I hope he gets an extra year.

Freeman will be re-contracted , if has his body right next year he will be a big surprise - cant expect to much now when he has to under go a shoulder operation - one spot on the list is no problem , compared the guys we have / class ball user and gets a lot of it

we have had him for 2 years , he has just managed a game after overcoming injury , will only improve and after putting up with him through injury we then get rid of him / what a joke - while we still have complete spuds on the list like Weller , Wright - get real

We don't have many pure mids and our midfield is terrible. He's a pure mid who can find the footy, and while he hasn't torn it up yet, there's a chance he can. I'd definitely keep him for another year.

Perhaps this is just us being cautious. He's achieved his dream, kicked a goal and likely has a spot for next year sewn up.

I'm just as disappointed but if he's here next year then the last two games are largely irrelevant. Perhaps his shoulder is sore, no need to risk him.

And if he isn't here next year then what's the point of playing him.

I'm hopeful this thread has a few years to run yet though.

Actually, you might be right, maybs he is rested/managed, but the club should have come out and said that, not omitted him with no comment. Once again another failure to communicate by our club this year
