I loved Acres in his draft year and was hoping if anything he would be more advanced than he is (though he has during his first year certainly struggled with injury). He has shown glimpses this season though probably still needs another preseason under his belt.

If it's Acres and St Kilda 2nd round selection for Freeman that would get me thinking.

acres is our longest contracted player on our list under 25

Fitness? He was easily one of the fittest blokes on our list. Fitness was never going to be an issue with him.

No doubt he was a very good runner. However, there are more aspects to fitness than just having the ability to run. I know enough about this bloke to not be overly fussed that he's leaving. Treloar is a massive upgrade anyway.

Its largely speculation based on his recurring injuries not just to him but to other members of the squad. Fact is not many pie fans were happy with what was going on and were questioning the performance of the medical and conditioning department. He probably just wants a fresh start hoping it leads to a change in luck.
