Reminds me of Barham, albeit I've only seen the highlight footage on the coverage of draft.
But still excited nonetheless and hopefully he can make an impact next year.
Welcome to Collingwood mate!

Barham was never quick he was a middle of the road plodder and a horrofic turnover merchant

Thought I'd move this the Freeman thread. No need to discuss him in the Scharenberg thread.

... He's also 85 kgs. That isn't a small body...

Adding to that, you can see in this photo he has a fairly wide torso and shoulders compared to the other guys apart from that freak Boyd.

Shade I suspect he's a more mature Poster like me and is referring to Jaxons father Ricky who was an a Collingwood icon in the 70s for his blistering runs up and down the wing. He was known as Ricky the Racehorse. By today's standards a very outside player. I thought also of R B when watching Freeman. He has the same, tuck it under the arm and take off style. Ideally he can also develop his composure and inside game a little to become a more complete package.

We rate him this highly, wow.

Collingwood's recruiting chief Derek Hine says there was "a feather" between the two players the Magpies selected at picks No. 6 and No. 10 in the National Draft.

Welcome to Collingwood Nathan :D

I must admit I was a big advocate for drafting Ben Lennon at pick 10 but I am still very satisfied with us selecting Nathan Freeman. He has plenty of pace to burn and that's something which we really need at the club, and in the process Nathan is also a good user of the ball and there's plenty of talent there to make him a very handy player in the future. I don't know about anyone else but he has that confident and tough look about him after seeing him receive his jumper from Bucks. I know that he isn't the greatest kick in the world but he makes up for it with his pace and the toughness that he demonstrates in contests. Can't wait to see him play :D

his kicking may be down a bit because of how fast he runs and kicks hard to kick perfect going at the speed he moves a great draft i think we did well so many young guns at the club now great times ahead

The way he tucks the ball under his arm and just goes reminds me of Judd... No pressure Cathy
Agree. We have just got someone who can turn a game much the the way Swan has developed. I believe he will lap up the pressure. Much better fit than Lennon who i think is really a small fwd. with Salem and Aish gone it was the obvious choice.
