Well obviously winning a premiership isn't high on his bucket list. Hopefully he enjoys it over there. Good young side, but it's St.Kilda. He's missed out on amazing opportunity on and off the field at Collingwood. It's amazing a second year guy who has been injured for two years can hold us over the barrel like he did. Disappointed, but whatever. Let's get something back for him and work to make the best of it. If his hammy goes again we might have dodged a bullet somewhat.

I'd say gone.

I've known Nathan for awhile and reckon if he was inclined to stay he would have given me something positive like "we're working on it" or "hopefully staying".
Of course there's that forthcoming talk with Bucks so all is not lost yet.
Good call PieBeast :thumbsu:

Bit soft for me his attitude.....oh well adios Freeman!!!

Haven't even had a chance to see how good he will be. If it is true there are so many questions left unanswered. Is he leaving because there are to many players in front of him in the midfield? Is it the money? Does he Blame the club for his injuries? Or does he just want to play for the saints?

Could be all of the above. I'll be pissed if we take anything less than their second pick

Incredibly disappointing.
With that been said I can't blame the kid. He has to do what's best for him and if he can get a 300k contract at the saints then good luck to him.
Yep, disappointing but saw it coming.
He'll also get a far better opportunity to play senior Football immediately.
We also don't know if that figure is correct and in any case if the Club wasn't prepared to pay it means we don't rate him as high as Scharenberg for example who by all reports was demanding 400K+.
Like I said earlier, it's all about the pecking order.

Seriously, we have to play hardball here, St Kilda are the ones offering him stupid money.

If they want him they need to find us a first round pick or we let him go for nothing (probably to Carlton where he will definitely break down again).

If he goes to the PSD St Kilda will 100% get him.

This isn't Dangerfield where you'd just 'YOLO' and pick him up regardless of where he nominated. It's a 21 year old, injury prone midfielder who hasn't played a senior game.

I'd be happy with a second rounder and freed up cap space for Trelololoar!

We offered pick 30 and Wellingham for him. Hardly unreasonable. Not our fault Ross Lyon is a dickhead. That trade could well have won them the grand final in 2010 if they'd accepted it.
Oh I know! I'm just taking the piss.

On that note...

Technically, nothing of value was lost because we never saw the dude play. Although we did lose a Top 10 draft pick.

Has to be said, when an 18 year old burst runner rips the hammy off the bone and can't get it right after 2 years with specialist support, the outlook isn't great. Odds are, he'll never be quite right.
