Great to see we have apparently cooled on Kreuzer and backing our young ruck guns. Was complete madness to bring in a guy who is injury prone and has played his best football as a number one ruck, in the hope he could morph into a key fwd / back up ruck. Our rucks will continue to develop and provide greater supply for our kids next year.

I really don't understand why we want kruezer.. Someone please explain.. We have 2 ruckmans. Who i think have more promise for the longterm
I think Pies are going to sacrifice Witts in the Treloar trade. We have Grundy developing nicely Cox will make his senior debut next year and Moore will also develop quickly as a forward/ruck option. All that aside I still don't think Kruzer is worth spending 600k a season on either to much risk with all his foot and knee problems

All the above and we still have White and in 2017 we will probably get Keeffe back. Even without Witts we should be ok for ruck depth, albeit a bit of a punt that Grundy will not get injured as he'd be our only legitimate number one ruck option

wont get keefe back if bears are smart.can pick him before us. on kreuzer only yes if we loose witts,
dout that we will pay that much for him, more likely 100-150 k less, around the first reports of

The punt would only be for this year with Cox coming through I would imagine. Can we risk it? It might cost us a few games without a proper ruck option but if that keeps cash in hand for players like Steele , we might have to role the dice on it. And for future years an extension of White wouldn't be that expensive either if Keeffe doesn't return.

I think its Freemans manager just playing hard ball to get Freeman the best deal possible. I am confident we will keep him

Here is Paul Connors interview. About 12:30 in.

Basically, he's in open dialogue with Collingwood...that's it. Why is this even a story?

Sounds like another typical media driven topic. Freeman to St.Kilda that is.

Wasn't losing the Berg and Freeman labeled 'disastrous ' the other day? And with the positive trades coming our way, undoubtedly stories about players leaving us do sell. Look at the Main Trade Threads. We are mentioned in almost half of the trade scenarios. About time some of the other clubs start doing something.

If he wants to go and chase the $$$$ let him go. From us to St Kilda- enjoy the career suicide kid.
It's quite laughable that he is potentially going from one Victorian team to another for $$$$.
It would be more plausible if he was moving interstate or had a go home factor etc.

1) Connors says the exact same thing about Melksham in the article below it - alone word for word
2) just an example of an agent trying to do right by his client - if he says nothing at all, the club can basically sign him for nothing as player has no other options - Freeman needs support on this contract

Would be pretty doggish act if he left after the 2 years you have spent on him trying every move in the country to get him fit.

If I was a player with dodgy hamstrings and I got offered a 1 year deal by the club id take it and run.. Needs to repay the faith.

You really wouldn't if a club was offering way more, not that I have any idea what St Kilda's offer is but if it's like 3 years you'd 100% take the job security. I don't see why we can't offer him two years, if he knocks that back though he can get stuffed.

So pick 6 and 10 were a complete waste and Hine should be looked at?
Ummm if their is one thing i can tell you it is that Hine has a stack of runs on the board and with schaz almost about to sign losing Freeman wouldn't make the club look at Hine. He is one of the best recruiters in the AFL.
