It was the weekend of the Melbourne game. I went out, saw him at a City establishment. It was when I watched the injury report by Neil Balme that he had a setback with his hamstring the following Tuesday. At the time I saw him, I had no idea he was injured.

You should send another email to the club.

Divide the salary cap ($10 million) by the number of players on our list (44).

What number do you get? That's the ***average*** player wage.

Can't justify paying any player yet to play a senior game anywhere near that!
Chicken feed in relative terms. Ask any office worker in the melbourne CBD. Im only an construction worker and nearly make that much.

How does one become a construction worker?

I think you have a very distorted opinion about what office workers earn :p

Average Australian full time wage is a tad over $74K

There was an incident down on the Mornington Penisula involving the club. Not sure Bucks was involved though.
That wasn't Bucks, it was what's his name. CHF that Dermie thought was going to be the next Carey and ended up getting traded to Richmond a couple years after doing his knee. He was a bit of a bad boy.

You're asking for photos and articles about a minor incident that happened in a time before the interwebs was used as a medium for news and current affairs. It's not going to happen.
So it's a story from the far distant past, 20 yrs ago according to jmac. Then why did Swan get suspended by the players' group for having a drink after a pact among the players to ban alcohol during the season? Why do I constantly liken Buckley to the puritanical Oliver Cromwell, when posters here see him having more in common with the 'excesses' of Charles 1 or II? Am I alone in being oblivious to Bucks the closet pisspot? Am I the only defender of his pristine reputation or have you and others abandoned him for sake of a good story?

Who needs money when you have job satisfaction?
Or who needs job satisfaction when you have money, meh
Yours is better

It was Jon Hassal who was the instigator. Half the team was involved including Buckley.

Hard to resist when there are golf carts involved. I love driving those things.

I think the banning was from the players group.
Ive never been one for players groups dictating some ridiculous self imposed rules.
Usually then the dominant clique makes rules that annoy to many other people.
Its the sort of thing Nick Macwell would thrive in, probably get off on, and Swan for example would find ridiculous.

What, you don't think Bucks had any influence over their decision?!

It's a credit to Swan Dog that he was able to move on from that BS suspension and continue to produce great footy. He loves the Pies that boy.
