Really? Cripps says hello! Even G Ablett at GC won the Brownlow whilst GC towards the bottom of the ladder.

Over the last two decades, the winner has usually come from a team that has performed very well throughout the H&A season. Ablett is the exception, but then again Ablett is genuinely in the conversation for being the greatest player in living memory.

We probably wouldn’t have been able to keep Dusty if we got Fyfe. We were only able to keep him in 2017 because we were within a few hundred thousand a year from North’s offer. Imagine the coin Fyfe would have been on....

Dusty was never going. For starters, Martin said he never wanted to leave Richmond but his manager just being smart using other clubs to get dusty the best deal which is what a good manager should be doing
It's happening with big stars at other clubs too, you hear about other teams enquiring and making offers then the club ups the offer and bang deal is done.

After a couple of flags I'm content with how things have worked out since the 2009 draft. But imagine if Richmond called Fyfe's name at #19 instead of Ben Griffiths! (Fyfe barracked for Richmond and tried to catch the attention of our recruiters at the draft camp but they showed no interest.)

Wouldn't change a thing. Maybe we take Cripps or Fyfe and have salary cap issues and the drought is out to 40 years. The torture was worthwhile. All of it.

Its annoying cause of what a *head Lennon was. A lazy junior footballer who hit puberty before anyone else. Hardly an elite athlete.

Id say taking Kruezer instead of Cotchin gives you guys a what if for the 2009-2013 seasons. Cotchin won his Brownlow in 12', and you had Judd, Murphy, Gibbs along with Sam Jacobs, Betts just hitting his prime and some underrated guys lile Henderson, Simpson, Carazzo, Garlett, Yarran..

A seriously good list and if you had selected Cotchin, would have gone a step forward in that time.

We missed Cripps but won 2 premierships, so unaffected really.
