Universal Love Nathan Fyfe

In the old days (well before Rocket Scientists and Astronauts), I'd use the pick up line that I was a Helicopter Pilot (to little avail mind you). This kid's taking it to new lengths but.
you reckon Fyfe needs to use pick up lines? I imagine he's beating them off with a stick.

I think the comparisons with Hird were purely on his playing style, and what a compliment that is. But I reckon he has added another string to his bow, the beast like ability to break any tag and tackles.
Literally 3 guys hanging off him at stoppages and he still manages to break through or at the least, get the ball out cleanly.

His kicky efficiency has improved this year, and if he can score those clutch goals will become the undisputed champ.

This could be the year to reward Pav with a premiership medal, and set Fyfe on the road to greatness

Without hyperbole, if Fyfe and the rest of the team can maintain their current output levels for most of the season, Nathan could conceivably walk away with AA Selection, a premiership medallion, the Brownlow, (the Norm Smith?) and the AFLCA Champions medal all in the same year.

With any other player in the league, the suggestion is utterly ridiculous... but the way things are going, it's far from unimaginable for Nat to achieve all five.

If he can pull that combo off, I think the question of him being one of the all-time greats becomes a rather moot point.

His strength is getting to ridiculous levels, its like that early developing kid who just beasts the rest in under 14s, pretty much unfair.

Love to know what he squats/deads.

This. The game on Sunday he looked like it was all a bit easy for him and he was getting cocky - for example: trying to play on from a mark and then being tackled and pinged for holding the ball straight away and, secondly, dragging the ball in near the boundary and being lucky not to be called for holding the ball.

I could be being harsh, but I think he's got a bit of a cocky side - which is not necessarily a bad thing of course, just the flipside of confidence and self-belief. To be fair it was against Melbourne and we were a long way ahead, but still.

Just taking advantage of the superstar treatment. He now gets afforded the extra seconds before calling holding the ball.

Fyfe could get worse, and he'd still be one of the all-time greats when he retires. If he gets any better he's going to be the all-time great.

I love watching him play. The comparisons to Hird when Fyfe first started standing out were justified, but I think Fyfe's past that now. Every time I watch him, I'm thinking how the hell did he end up at our team? He's the perfect specimen of a footballer. And he makes everything look so easy, it's almost like... why can't everyone else play like that? The way he leaps up for a mark, or breaks out of the pack being tackled by 4 players, he makes it look like the most natural thing in the world.

And for him to stand out like this in such a dominant midfield is just insane. Take Fyfe out, and our midfield is still one of the better, if not the best in the comp. Keep him in the midfield and what we have is a once-in-a-generation something special.

Yep tird comparisons at start justified, now its just an offense to refer Fyfe to that drug cheat. Only the bombers will want the comparison to continue as they put golden boy on the pedestal.

He is better than Hird already, most people have stopped the tird comparison. Sure he hasnt received all the awards tird got but he has the time.

Was robbed of the brownlow last year as well! Wonder what ppl what would saying if we managed to win flag and he got his brownlow.

And if the brownlow votes are a measure consistency Fyfe has amassed amazing amount so far.
I would say, thanks for the cash Sportsbet.

yup you can call it the Judd rule.

Some superstar players have a little more rope to break tackles, a little more time. It is simply because they break tackles most players can't, so the umpire tends to give them that extra second or two.
