word from training is he's been matched up against Brock McLean, Colin Sylvia and Phil Read in some of the hardball get training etc. and doing quite well.

Apparently he's bloody agressive and ultra-competitive - and that's just what I wnated to hear

Will fit right in the new look midfield and probably play 8 or so games next year development permitting. Would be good odds to win the Rising Star as well since he has a mature body.

Good build for a player in his first season, will be a great pick-up but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves next year, he shoudnt be expected to make a Deledio-esque impression in his first year.

Pickett will only be around for a maximum of 3 years though.
If you put Flash in instead of Pickett it would be right (Sorry to be pedantic about it).
However it looks as if we will have a top 4 midfield in a year or two.

How far off getting a game is Nathan Jones?

Old mate of mine, played with and against him alot over the years and don't hear from him anymore. How is he traveling? I'd love to see him get a game.

I doubt he'd be very far off, and I think most Melbourne fans can't wait to get a look at him - built like a mac truck for an 18 year old. The only problem is where to fit him in the team? Our midfield is looking good at the moment, the only space would be that left by Godfrey (we all hope) after last weeks "effort". I'd say Sylvia might get favoured over Jones at this stage though.
