Cornes said Murphy could possibly get done for staging because there was nothing in it.

I don’t usually mind him but he is kidding himself saying that. You could clearly see he got his bell rung.

Just a dumb, biased comment.

If Murphy had laid out a Port player can you imagine the uproar from Kane?

Yeh came here to see if any one else was as disgusted by that take. FFS round arm to the angle of the jaw when looking at the ball. Wonder why he went down, must’ve milked it…. FFS have a spell Kane

He’s been amazing this season and it is much needed because Jeremy Howe looks cooked. Murphy taking one of the top two opposition forward allows us to carry Howe as a unaccountable 3rd defender.

I am concerned that Murphy will eventually hang up the boots from too many knocks to the head

He seems to be getting "dazed" easier and more frequently which is a huge concern. There have been a few times in the past few weeks where he has been bumped and he's stayed on the ground far longer than normal.

His ability to peel off his man, get to a contest and kill it is elite; his fearless courage, with a total disregard for his own safety, borders on the Kamikaze!

A very important player for us and one we want to remain fit and healthy until the season's end.

Almost replaced Tommy Langdon with his style of play !!

Langdon use to be a fave of mine. Murphy fills that void. Love his play style !

It is true although Langdon was really something else.
Absolute star.
Such a pity he was taken out early in his career.

Love watching Murph so much. He's one of those players that would be much more appreciated by fans at the games than anyone watching on TV. So much of his good play happens off screen. He's our defender who is the best at knowing when to leave his man to impact the contest, or closing down space to return to his man when the upfield defence breaks down.

I still worry about him against bigger forward lines, but his style just fits the chemistry of our defensive set up perfectly.

Dermie did the same… generally I respect his views ( but hate his pretentious rambling).

Basically accused Murphy of jumper punching Rioli.
I thought at the time that Murph was genuinely KO’d and I was flithy.

But the MRO guidelines are pretty clear on this one regardless of whether Murph flopped or not, so it’s frustrating when Rioli’s intentional action is justified.

Absolutely love watching this guy and think he's been one of our very best all year. Why isn't he in the conversation for the AA squad?

I just pray he's able to stay healthy and avoid any more concussions and cheap shots. He looked dazed after that Rioli hit and is often slow to get up after a hit or fall. I find it stressful watching this as a supporter so can't imagine what it would be like for his friends and family. Just gotta admire someone who plays with such heart and courage, especially knowing he could only be one bad concussion away from having to retire. One of my absolute favourites in this team.

In the AA squad, it'll be Moore and someone else who clunks marks. But when it comes to judgement and peeling off your man to disrupt an attack with a big fist of the ball - he's as good as there is.

Gets better with every passing day.
