The West Coast Eagles has bolstered its coaching panel for the 2018 season, with former Adelaide captain Nathan Van Berlo joining the club as midfield and stoppage coach.
Van Berlo, who led Adelaide as skipper from 2011-2014, spent the last 12 months working as a development coach with the Crows, working with the club’s young players while helping guide the club’s leadership program.
The 31 year-old West Australian will work closely with midfield coach Sam Mitchell, as well as midfield development coach Luke Dwyer.
West Coast Eagles general manager of football Craig Vozzo says Van Berlo was a great fit for the Eagles’ coaching panel.
“We’re excited to have someone of Nathan’s quality join us,” Vozzo said.
“His extensive experience as a club leader, both as a player and more recently as a coach, adds another dimension to our coaching group and leadership program.
“We look forward to Nathan getting to work in the coming weeks.”
Welcome home Nathan!
