they needa reverse course on discounts

they already get a big advantage in knowing everything about the player they bring up in their academies and then get to match a bid on them

should be a 15%-20% point increase to match, not a reduction

father son the same

probs doesn't work that well later in the draft so maybe after pick 25/30 it could just be original value of the pick they get selected at. no reduction or addition

or just scrap all of it altogether

I am not having a go at the coaches or the players but it will be a miracle we make finals next yearand if we do it is an indictment on other clubs with superior draft talent.

Cannot see how Gold Coast and North do not rise next year and beyond

Yze would be crazy not to need a extension, can't do the impossible

We along with other clubs pinch their other good players like King and keep undercutting them same as what happened with GWS.

Reckon in the first couple of rounds you should have to give up a pick in the round the bid is on or a pick within a certain number of slots after the bid. The bidding system is just too cooked at the moment.

Still plenty of talent on offer. I hope Simpson makes it to our pick and we grab him.
Reid, Morris, Simpson, Jiath, Lual, Freijah, Stevens, Schoenmaker, Roberts, Murphy
Yep there’s a few left we would be keen on…

Twomey had a pretty good night and looking at his comments on clubs interests before us.

West Coast- Edwards, Roberts
Lions- Reid
Cats- Murphy, Roberts, Freijah, Hastie
Saints- Hastie, Freijah, Edwards, Jiath, Schoenmaker
Blues- Edwards, Simpson

From this it looks like Twomey has no idea who Brisbane are keen on. They could go any where.

I think from the above Edwards will be gone.
Cats may go a mid with them taking a tall back early.
Saints will want a talk to balance out their picks and with Edwards gone may go Shoenmacher.
Blues will get Simpson with Edwards off the board.

Potentially 1-2 of Reid, Morris, Murphy available as talls at our first pick. Hopefully we rate a couple of them.
I think we would also take Edwards if he dropped.

I’d like Morris but believe I read that Brisbane has interest.

Should be no discount at all. They already have a leg up on clubs compared to NGA picks which are top 40 protected. There should not be a 20% discount on top of priority matching.
