Are 2 players who began life as key defenders and ended up kicking over 600 goals

A KPD may save you the occasional game a KPF can win you many

Naughton has natural forward instincts. I hope now he is allowed to develop forward
Don't forget the G Train as well - FB at WCE, FF at the Saints

Reckon that hangar he took in the last couple of minutes against GC may have accelerated contract discussions

He nearly won the match for us and shows how important good KPFs are. A really good contract extension.

Just a massive fan. Sticky fingers, athletic, mobile, aggressive and a decent set shot. Just what you want in a Kpf. Hope Bev leaves him there.

For the love of god someone get me a highlights package of this kids year so far. His 3rd quarter was just immense. When he can do that for a full game watch the * out.

Moore was a really good match up for him because he can match him with mobility and has the long reach to spoil but because Naughtys not strong enough to out body him yet.

The thing is in 3 or 4 years Naughty will absolutely ragdoll the Moore types who can keep up with him and very few players who will be able to match him for size/strength will be able to get near him.

Not many blokes playing AFL who can pack mark like Naughton did in the third. Was exciting.

Not sure if its just cos we havent had someone like that in years but the excitement he brought to the small amount of doggies in the crowd was hugeee

Watch from 20 seconds, there is a good angle of moore grabbing the ball once they hit the deck and trying to claim the mark.

Ill pay that to moore if they pay coxs mark to Croze

Naughton was played as the deep forward today and was slaughtered by his team mates. Didn’t kick it to him or when they did his team mates got in the way.

Far better utilised at CHF like he was against Collingwood in the 3rd Quarter. He wasn’t helped in this regard by team selection. Persist with him at CHF!

Naughtons strength is when he gets a decent run at the ball and can launch. There's probably only a handful of players in the league better than him in that situation. But to do so he needs another big guy next to him to draw defenders. He didn't have that today and it's why he didn't create problems for Carlton. Poor coaching by Bevo. If Trengove plays that second ruck/deep forward role today then Naughton is 100% more effective.

Right now there’s a danger this goes down the Weitering path (young gun key defender who can take marks so gets pushed forward, loses all confidence and has development stunted). Leave the kid in the backline to develop. Play Schache & Trengrove forward until Boyd is ready. Naughton in the backline & two key forwards in the team won’t harm our chances of winning games at all.

But if you 100% must play him forward put another ****ing talk bloke in there so he’s not solo against 2 key backs!!!

Except Weitering showed next to nothing as a forward and wasn't moved there for any other reason than they were desperately worried they had a flop on their hands. Relax, he will be fine.
