"We're an osmosis team at Nawthorn,
we're determined to become the Hawks
We will grab your spine, come think or thin
trying with everything we've got to be Nawthorn

And there will come a day so grand and enlightening
our players will once have been all yours (down to the core)

All of our list we will insist had once all played for Hawthorn
And we'll be the mighty fighting Nawks."

Gotta admit that i am nervous about the 2 trades this year. will remain positive though, until proven otherwise.(even given all the warnings from Hawsks supporters to "Pull Out")

Thommo however has been very good for us, and Piccione cost us nothing (and may even be delisted) so not too bad from 04.

madly running around touching a lot of timber, hoping that we can get some return on Hay.... I reckon that Jade was just an attempt to get a bit of maturity into a backline that will be lacking leadership now that Colbert has moved on.. I can't see him playing too many games unless he has a miraculous recovery.

I think you are correct about Rawlings. I think he will never be 100% fit again and his days are numbered. With Hay, sometimes a player can go to another club and goes up a notch. Facts are in 2001 Hay was the best FB in the AFL, but he has failed to produce that form ever since. I think he is at least worth the gamble. He appeared to be stagnating with the Hawks.

I wish Jono Hay well. As a long serving player he will remain a son of ours.

A tip for all you good people at North (have fond memories of your club's hospitality when I took Hawthorn's Little League half time teams to Arden Street). Just get him to stay awake at game-time .... and I suppose at training.

Could this be the start of a merger between the two clubs?....... go the Norks!
No way! If anything, albeit it is hazy, I see in my crystal ball a Richmond Kangaroos FC. Just think of it, so many former Hawks in Yellow, Black, Blue and White guernsies :D. Could be a help for the future of a fledgling club.
