We are a couple months away from the NBA season.

Thought I would get a thread up for the Tournament Winner and Defensive Player of the Year.

Kevin Durant wants to stay with the Nets at the time of writing this thread. Will be interested to see how they go this year with the big 3 fit and firing. Im interested in seeing how they blend as a team do the former two NBA number 1 picks and the number 2 pick. They still a fair way behind Boston given what we saw in the playoffs last season.

Think OKC will be the big improver this season and they could push for a play-in spot . Holmgren has to be a chance for Rookie of the Year? There is going to be some good time in OKC.

Deep teams with trade assets might be the value this season. For laying off/cashing out in future id look at Raptors and Pelicans

Lakers being same odds as Nuggets is laughable. Be 10+ wins difference between them

Clippers at $8, looks far too short , given they have 2 main players, and relying on a super fit Kawhi Leonard for upcoming season. (Missed all of last season)

I rate the Timberwolves, the team that knocked the Clippers (last season) out a better team than them .

Wolves arent doing anything with a Gobert/KAT combo. Be very surprised anyway

My poor guy Chet, this injury causes massive instability in the forefoot, normally a 6 month return to sport post-op. Probably good leaving him out for the rest of the season though to get some solid reconditioning in with his physio. Note Joel Embiid in 2014 and Ben Simmons in 2018 both missed their rookie seasons with foot fractures... Chet will be back with a vengeance

Kawhi reckons he's been lifting weights for 18 months.

He might deadset kill someone and get the and 1

Im having a bit of a nibble on Jose Alvarado (NOP) to win Defensive Player of the Year at $251

Not sure what fair odds for him are, but he won college DPOY and I feel Pelicans will build on their finals performance last season.

Anything in triple digits is worth a sprinkle.

Will have a stab of the NBA predictions for East and West this season:

Western Conference
1. Memphis
2. Minnesota
3. Denver
4. Golden State
5. Clippers
6. Dallas
7. Phoenix
8. New Orleans Pelicans

Eastern Conference
1. Boston
2. Brooklyn
3. Philadelphia
4. Bucks
5. Miami
6. New York
7. Atlanta
8. Charlotte

Think there is a clear gap in the East with the top 4.

I think the Draymond Green v Poole bust up may derail the Warriors this season. Denver I expect to improve with Jamal Murray back in the ranks.

Father time has caught up with the Lakers, and they look a bit too old and slow for me. Bev and Westbrook as teammates is a disaster in the making.

1U Simmons u9.5 Points $1.87 TAB

Struggled with foul trouble against bigs in the PS and didn't take many shots. Surrounded by scorers and won't be doing too much scoring early on in 2022.

Also just gonna go:
BOS -2.5 $1.91
GSW -6.5 $1.95
$3.71

Boston have a consistent lineup from last year and runners up traditionally start strong. And i don't like Harden's face.
LAL are just absolute bin stuff.

I think the riskiest leg there might be Wiggins to get 10+ Points. And you cant ever be too sure about Davis fitness.
Fair play to the majority of punters in Australia getting on this one. This $11.25 multi came 1 short. Maybe my 'reverse jinx' works on this thread?
