I've learnt the hard way that making a PG and trying to play online is useless. I'm going either a Stretch or Lockdown PF to start this time so I can hit up the park, and grab boards no matter what the other floggo's are doing.

Made a glass cleaner late on 2k17, but mine could do literally nothing offensively and I got bored.

I was a stretch on 2k17, probably gonna be a sharpshooter on 2k18... I'm hoping for a 3 and D archetype. Did you have a positive or negative record in park?

Negative, I'm a below average player on my own, without having a full team of random PG's that want to get shots up.

If you can't tell, my experience on 2K17 wasn't particularly great. But I am lobbying my mates hard to buy this one so I can actually enjoy the park.

The way 2K approach their NBA games is the way that all gaming companies should approach sporting games. The director of their content releases several blog posts every year in the lead up to the new addition and is always super pumped about all the new features that they're adding. He always states that his aim is to never let the franchise get stale and to make sure that every year they're adding something that's actually worthwhile and not just repackaging last years addition with a new number at the end.

This year GM mode (my fav mode by far) even has a story component as well. So cannot wait for this.
 
as cool as the world is most people will be over exploring it after a few weeks... so really the park better be good and it looks like there are less courts than 2k17. The archetype system looks much improved, im 100% gonna be a sharpshooter/lock down defender.... the playmaker/sharpshooter build is gonna be very popular
 
What kind of butt nugget would choose the same archetype for primary and secondary? Yeah you'll be able to get dribble and pass up to 99 probably but literally will suck at everything else.

Shot creating is definitely going to be one of my archetypes and either 3 point shooting or driving and finishing.

Dunno whether to make a SG or a SF.

Also interesting that there didn't seem to be anything regarding rim protecting in the archetypes so it must all come under defending.

Sigh. The neighbourhood stuff looks gimmicky.

At least the archetypes actually provide more variety now though and attributes aren't lumped into bunches anymore. Might have to actually check out MyCareer.

Explains why they don't give two shits about online leagues anymore though. MyCareer is where the cash is.
 
a lot of positive reviews early for the switch version, will be picking it up on both PS4 and the switch. Cant wait!

Really wish they wouldn't use a pleb to demonstrate the games though, the guy playing the Switch version above sucks royally.

Can you just play a simple/casual game in this like in 2K11??

i don't necessarily want to do a career..

just want to pick it up and play as Orlando Magic circa 94'..
