Nope it's not the same. It looks like 2k has removed the ability to see what your ratings will be before you use vc to upgrade them which is very dodgy..

It's really irritating. Some YouTuber better upgrade a Shot Creator/Playmaker Day 1 before I find out it has a 43 standing 3 ball.

They must be get high as **** when they write the storylines and characters for MyCareer. Every friend of your player is always some complete weirdo.

I must say I'm actually somewhat interested by MyCareer this year with the greater variety of archetypes but if I have to put up with a shitload of annoying cutscenes I won't bother.

The standing 3 for that should be between 70-75.. off the dribble 3 will be 75-85 i think. They need to patch in the attributes though, crazy to pay vc on a player you don't know for sure can make open 3's or use certain dribble moves/dunk packages

I'm going to be pissed off this year if myteam boxes are on available only by VC again.

2k have been testing my patience of the last couple of years. I think I only played 2k17 for a month full on and then only here and there after that because it was pretty much the same as 2k16 but more money hungry.

Does that mean you can download the game today but not be able to access it until Friday midnight or do you get to access game right away?

It's pretty amazing how blatantly they can compromise the user experience for Dat VC. I know it's turned a few of my mates away from the game, maybe the NBA is too entrenched in US culture for anyone to stop buying the game over there.

Four days early for "certain markets"??? Couldn't find any more info so will end up going with the $79 from JB on Friday and wax $30 for 75k vc to up my player in my career[emoji16] Can anyone tell me if the added DLC from pre-order is worth it???

Preorder release is Friday, non preorder is Tuesday but every time I've gone on pre order day without pre ordering I've got a copy. I don't know of added DLC for pre ordering? If you're paying an extra $30 for VC you're better off getting the legends addition as you basically get an extra 25k vc for the same price + other useless shit.

Yep. They tapped into the market and saw there was money to be made on virtual trading cards and went big!

Only way they will stop is when people stop buying them packs.

I can understand some modes feel this, but I ccan extract hundreds of hours of fun from the game without needing any VC.

I agree, MyGM and MyLeague have avoided the purge thus far.

Just from playing around in 2KU dynamic plays seem like on the biggest additions. I hope that the AI runs them often, they're great.
 
Has anyone had their Pre Order shipped? Mine still is "In Progress" on the JB website. But a mate has his already shipped yesterday with the possibility of getting it this arvo.
 
I recieved an email this morning from jb saying my copy has been shipped. Im happy as i only pre ordered a few days ago and wasnt sure itd get shipped the day before release.

Does not matter if you pre-order it or not, you walk into the store and they will sell it.. Absolute piss take.

For me it's more the principle of not wanting to partake in a process that offers me no benefit, just so the big wigs can lock in sales earlier.

Hypothetically, say some store enforces the early tip-off weekend. Couldn't you just "pre-order" the game, then use that pre-order to get the game? Nothing about the offer makes sense to me.
