Elvin Hayes, from the San Diego/Houston Rockets and the Baltimore/Capital/Washington Bullets."

Maybe a controversial choice at pick 2, but 'The Big E' suits my potential team structure well. Hayes was dominant in his heyday, in multiple aspects of basketball. He was a very good scorer in his prime, with his trademark turnaround jumper the highlight of his shot array. In fact he led the league in scoring in his rookie season! He was also a very handy rebounder, leading the league twice. His shot blocking was noteworthy, too. Pity they didn't record blocks per game in his prime. Adding on to this, he was as durable as **** and a good guy, too.

Here's a writeup of every pick so far:

Pick 1: nbaman1 - Bill Russell - Yeah, good pick. There wasn't a clear cut number 1 pick in this category, but if I had this pick, I definitely would have gone with Russell. Defensive bigmen are hard to come across.

Pick 2: krayfesh - Elgin Baylor - Too early for mine. Don't get me wrong, he was great, but I just feel there were better options available. A legend of the NBA, nonetheless.

Pick 3: Danger in Texas - Oscar Robertson - Here, it was out of Wilt and The Big O. If I'm honest, I rate Wilt a little higher, however Oscar was a greater all-round player than Wilt.

Pick 4: Chadwiko - Jerry West - I don't know what to think of this pick. West was a beast of a player, however Chadwiko already has Jordan in the bag. Still, a good pick, and deserved to go here.

Pick 5: BoshtrichBurger - Wilt Chamberlain - BARGAIN! Wilt deserved to go at 2, imo. The Big Dipper is, arguably, the greatest offensive force of all time, bar Jordan. Steal, no less.

Pick 6: JP Sauce - Bob Pettit - Yep, predicted him to go here. Pettit was just as good as Wilt offensively. He could rebound, score and defend. A good pick by JP Sauce.

Next 6 to come in 1/2 hour.

Pick 7: JP Sauce - Bob Cousy - Good choice. This guy could be easily used as a 6th man. Even though he could only dribble with 1 hand, he wasn't called 'The Houdini of the Hardwood' for nothing.

Pick 8: BoshtrichBurger - Sam Jones - Another solid pickup by the BurgerBoy. Jones was just as good as West when it came to clutch. He was your type that would score in bursts.

Pick 9: Chadwiko - Tommy Heinsohn - There were better options, but in his own way Heinsohn was a very good player. Played alongside some stars of his time, so they ate up a lot of his potential stats.

Pick 10: Danger in Texas - John Havlicek - Can't believe he slid to me. Although his stats don't look so good, he was a good offensive player and a beast of a defender.

Pick 11: krayfesh - Dolph Schayes - I commend kray for going with the best available here. Schayes was a standout player in his day, and although he might not do well against the likes of Jordan, a solid bench pickup.

Pick 12: nbaman1 - Hal Greer - Good back-up point guard to whoever his starting one will be. His name seems to be lost in time, but according to black and white vids, he was a star of the 'A at one point.

Steal of the round: Would have to be the Wilt pick-up by BoshtrichBurger. He deserved to go a lot higher.

Mistake of the round: The Elgin Baylor pick by krayfesh. There were multiple better options, but I can see why kray picked him up.

Elgin was always criminally underrated. To do what he did while serving his country spoke volumes and bar Russell, was also the best leader available.

Pistol Pete gets the nod to join the Mystic Gohans, and for good reason too! A scoring freak when he was at LSU, Pistol translated his game to the 'A with great aplomb. He scored at will, and was one of the flashiest players of his era, and perhaps, in the history of the 'A. He'll compliment the shooting and hustle of Sam Jones, as well as forming a formidable tandem with Wilt.​
