So what channel are the finals going to be on for us? People without Austar not getting them live again?

Most of the playoffs/conference finals I've watched have been on channel one and ESPN, I think if TNT televise the game it will be on one, but not sure how it works during the finals.

This will be either the greatest or worst 2 weeks of my life.

That 2006 series has eaten at me since. The way we lost. That sense of death when JET missed the tying 3 at the end of game 6.

Now a Finals appearance from nowhere. A fitting tribute to a 11 year 50 win team. And against the same team. Who are even more Hollywood-fied. The darlings of the corporate world. A couple of egocentric prima-donnas who are as skilled in ******ry as basketball.

A Dirk-led win would be the most satisfying moment of my life. I could die happy right there and then. A loss would kill the team and Nowitzki. My favourite athlete of all time cruelled twice by a conspiracy of NBA marketing gimmicks and self-obsessed knobjockeys.

This one is all in.

However, Miami possess 2 guys who can just absolutly tear a game apart in Wade/Lebron, Sure Mavs have Dirk...however i see Miami winning in 7 games

I was thinking about trying to get tickets for Game 3, as I will be passing through on my way to Memphis around that time. I can't try the normal sale tomorrow as you need a credit card with a North TX zip code. And tickets look ridiculously expensive from scalpers ... that is no surprise ... but apparently tickets are trending more expensive than the Lakers v Celtics last year. Around $300-$500 for nosebleeds, and ~$3k-$4k for seats about 10-15 rows back mid-court.

I hate Miami and hope Dallas destroy them in every game and win 4-0. Won't happen unfortunately, but maybe Dallas can still win if they can improve their defensive game.

The Finals are on ABC in USA...

This should mean ESPN (being an affiliate) will broadcast the games here.

One might gets the games but on delay.

Game 1 is Tue night in Miami starting @ 9 PM
Game 2 is Thu night in Miami starting same time...

Agreed with other posters format should be 2 (high ranked team - Miami) then 2 (lower ranked team - Dallas) then 1 1 1

Edit: Just found this on ESPN.

NBA Finals on ESPN in Australia

They have not updated it as yet, as they are showing Game 1 on Friday morning whereas that is Game 2 time. Hopefully in next 24-48 hrs they will fix it.

There was at least one interesting set of head-to-head numbers from the regular season: Wade vs. Stevenson. Wade took only three shots in 30 minutes with Stevenson on the floor, as opposed to 30 shots in 50 minutes with Stevenson on the bench.

I said in the Heat thread a while ago we will win the title on Cuban's floor again, but I can't see this series being settled any earlier than Game 6, most likely Game 7.

Mav's have had the wood on us for a while but the Heat team right now compared to the one even earlier in the season and previous seasons is much, much better, particularly on D. As the saying goes it wins championships.
This was expected though as it would take time to find order in 3 All Stars being on the court at once. The more defensive minded Anthony has grown into the best fit in the middle and surprised everyone with his protection of the rim. Miller back healthy at the right time gives us the long range threat who can also give a bit of size and help on the boards. Haslem's mid range shot has to be respected if defenders sag off him, and his energy and spirit is something all great teams need.

I still think we sare a bit weak on the boards but our offensive power if it clicks is unstoppable and our one on one defending has been great.

Mav's have an amazing roster and some of the nice guys of the league, but we all know what happens to nice guys.

DWade is my man but all the hate will spur Le Bron to one of the great Finals performances to claim MVP, Heat win in 7 in an unforgettable season/Playoff and Finals series.
