Dallas vs Miami


Congrats to the Ponies making the finals again. They deserved it after sweeping the champs this year. No easy road for them. Never picked them at the start of the year or even at the start of the playoffs.

Dirk has been MVP of the playoffs thus far.

Congrats to the Heat making the finals again. They put the haters in their place and are set to pull off the most unpopular victories in NBA history.

Lebron could end up being MVP of the playoffs.
 
Love the Mavs since i was 16 i thought there chance was last year but they got injuries in the wrong times

never thought they would make it this far they just look like a different team and with Chandler playing so well and having a great bench this could be there year lets hope the Heat feel the pressure

This is the finals match up Stern wanted !!! Bearing in mind Mavs have the wood on the Heat since 06, I am tipping Dallas in 7, with the big German wookie to be finals MVP.
 
So what channel are the finals going to be on for us? People without Austar not getting them live again?
 
Hate to say it, as much as I would love to see Dirk and JK get a ring, I can't see their defensive side holding up over the series, the one thing they do better than the Bulls is shoot, they are better shooters from mid and long range, courtesy mainly of Dirk

If the Mavs can take a game in Miami they will be a huge sniff

I always hate the 2-3-2 format of the finals.

I understand the concept with travel, etc.

Seems a tad tough that teams can hold their home court, yet the higher seed will face an elimination game.

Given that's the case, I can't see it going 7. Heat will pinch a win in Dallas and should win it in 6.
 
Stevenson, who has an offseason home in Orlando, brought his chef and his personal tattoo artist for the players. It was a team-building exercise.
Stevenson's chest, neck and arms are covered with tattoos. He even has a few facial tattoos and two piercings in his chest. But despite all of his tattoos, what he saw teammate Jason Terry do was mind-boggling at the time.
Terry got one placed on his right biceps of the Larry O'Brien Trophy, given to the winner of the NBA championship.
"When he first got the tattoo, I said he was crazy," Stevenson said of the tattoo that is on the inside of Terry's arm. "I didn't say it to him. But I've never been to the [NBA Finals], and for him to have that now. Wow. And he got that tattoo in October, and it means a lot with what we've been through."

Agree... Format is stupid. Travel aint that far on private jets these days.

I predict Heat to beat the Mavs.

Bosh will hold Dirk in check. Dirk will score 30 a game. (10 fgs and 10 free throws) but Miami wont foul him nearly as much.

After what Heat just experienced going up against the Bulls D, the Mavs D will feel like High school games.:D

When Dallas on offence
Carlos got Kidd
Wade got Stevenson

What we can expect in the finals:

When Miami on offence
Kidd gets Bibby (Kidd will like this match up. Slow vs slow, old vs old)
Stevenson gets Wade (Last Finals Wade torched Dallas - he is due again)
Marion gets Lebron (Marion got the length to bother him if he stays focussed)
Chandler gets Bosh (Chandler wont be able to stay under the basket)
Dirk gets Joel (Dirk gets to be the roaming helper but he better box out)

When Dallas on offence
Bibby gets Kidd (At least its not Rose speed but Kidd can be more dangerous)
Wade gets Stevenson (Wade gets to relax on D again like Bulls series)
Lebron gets Marion (Lebron can snuff him totally out but will roam as well)
Bosh gets Dirk (Key match up. Bosh is gonna have to not get into foul troub)
Joel gets Chandler (Battle of the O Boards)
