Devo's earlier post about seeing a game @ MSG, amongst others, got me thinking... what NBA games have you guys seen live? My only game was in the US, but I'm pretty sure NBA teams have played a game or two over here in previous years.

In 1993, when I was a little tacker, I saw a pre-season game between the Pacers and the Clippers at LA Sports Arena. At the time I was a huge Indiana fan, and I was fairly disappointed that Reggie Miller wasn't playing, and I think Detlef Schrempf was traded a few days prior. Regardless, I had a glimpse of NBA ball, and a few favourite players in particular - Rik Smits, Dale Davis, Loy Vaught - so it was a reasonable experience. What made it all the more memorable was that Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Billy Crystal were in the crowd. The Clipps got up by about ten points with a huge fourth quarter, from my recollections.

I saw the Mavs v. Jazz in Dallas in 2000. The Jazz players were actually staying in a hotel we were visiting (Reunion Tower). It wasn't the best game, the Mavs went down by 8-10 points. I guess the first thing that struck me was how a guy as tall as Shawn Bradley could look so out of place on a basketball court, and how a 7'1 guy like Nowitzki could hit threes with such regularity.

Better make it this year Jod. I'd be surprised if he plays on next year. Doubly so if Washington plays up to.....potential.

I saw the Lakers play Phoenix at the Forum in 1992. Sat just a couple of rows back from Jerry West. Unfortunately no Magic and Barkley, Ceballos and Dumas dunked all over the Lakers in a blowout. They were awesome...but then it became clear a year or so later why one of them could jump so high.

In 1979-80 I saw all of the Lakers home games, plus about another 15-20 games around the West and Mid West. And of course, Game 6 at Philly. For this game alone, Magic proved he is better than anybody who will ever play the game, 40pts, 15rbs, 8ass, 5sts and 4blks, and he played every position on the court that game - but who want's to get in another worthless arguement with Jod. Not Me.

In 1996-97 I spent about 3 months in the States and saw about 4 or 5 games in New York, 2 or 3 in New Jersey, and about 6 or 7 games in Atlanta. Roni is a Hawks fan, so we spent a month in Atlanta watching them, as well as the Falcons and Braves. The Hawks were pretty good that year, finishing second to Chicago in the Central Division.

What do you think about the chemistry of Jordan and Stack seeing that that they both want the rock and they don't have a decent point guard? It will be interesting to see how that relationship develops.

Obviously i dont know how they will mesh but all indications say that they will each get there shots so i doubt there will be any friction. Jordan and Stack are the only two real viable scorers on the team so obviously there are gonna share it around and expect both of them to average over 20ppg.

I went to America last year and saw a Bulls v Heat game at the United Center. Great arena it is, absolutely bloody huge!!! The Wildcats pre-game stuff is bascially ripped from the bulls.

Anyway the game was a bit of a snooze fest, Bulls won by 6 I think.
