Hi all,

As soon as anyone spots NBA Live '05 on the shelves (for PC), could you please post something here so we know it's available?

Thanks!

Luke

I can understand where you're coming from, mate.

I guess having grown up on the sport, and I still love playing and watching it to this day - I guess you could say I'm obsessed, and that fully extends to console and PC games. :D

But certainly, each to their own!

Just use a consol controller with an adapter for pc, easy fixed :)

Graphics are usually better on pc too..

The game is pretty cool to play, but has no save game stats feature. Major oversight. Is going to destroy online leagues world wide until they realise their stupidity and release a patch (fingers crossed)

Yeah, that surprises me about the non-saving of stats... talk about shooting themselves in the foot, huh?

So how many people have started dynasty's?

I've started one with the Grizzlies (I always tend to gravitate towards them in dynasty mode for some reason), and I'm 10-1 - admittedly only on "Starter" difficulty level. I'm playing a 29 game season with 8 minute quarters. If I win the title, I'll advance myself to the next skill level.

The game itself is fantastic - couldn't be a whole lot better I dont think, save for a few minor things. I love it! :D

Started a season on all-star with the lakers, won the first couple by single digits, won the next few by 20-30odd.

Apparently superstar is very difficult tho (only played 1 game at that level with dallas v cavs, won by 8, but dallas aren't an example of your average nba live team)

Just wondering (and this goes for the PS2 version as well, i guess) do you get access to any of the older players the way u used to be able to in NBA Live 2003?

I'm a unashamed old fogie when it comes to NBA and i don't want to play any game if i can't hav Bird/Magic classic matchups :)

Yep, they have the "All-Star" teams from the 90's, 80's, 70's etc. So although I haven't fully investigated, I'm sure at the very least you could play an exhibition with those legend players such as Bird, Magic, DJ etc...

So... is the PS2 version worth paying $90 for?

Personally, I'd say yes. Only because I love basketball, and I love basketball games on PC/console.

So buying it was a no-brainer for me - might be different for others of course. :D

I'm finding the gameplay fantastic, whilst the dynasty mode is deep enough to keep me going for a fair while I'd say. So yeah, all in all it looks a good purchase..

That's not to say I'm not very tempted to get GTA San Andreas one day soon, too.
