Hmmm just notice that Amare's playoff numbers are less than Dirk's despite playing in an up temp system with Steve Nash.

Also last year, Amare's scoring and rebound fell away, his FG% dipped 6 % and his FT% dipped 16% against the Spurs in the POs

Choker.

STATs average has gone up 4ppg points in the play-offs

Dirks has gone up 3ppg

The up-tempo style is irrelevent because the play-offs are a lot slower and defensive

<cant believe im arguing for a suns player>

This is a very silly way of looking at it.

The career average includes every year they've ever played, while the playoff average includes only the years they went to the playoffs.

If you look at it year-by-year:
Stoudemire matched his regular season numbers in his first 2 playoff stints, improved in the playoffs the third time he was there, and had a poor series against the Spurs last year.

Nowitzki on the other hand has been close to his regular season performances in almost all playoffs, except for 2004/5 and 2006/7, where he drastically under-performed.

Neither is a true last-quarter go-to guy anyway, so it's a bit of a useless debate.

Yao ming for 2 with a foul! 1.8 secs left they had to inbound it. LOLOL! 0.8 to go rockets up by 1.

bugger. Roy will be a freak. Yao didnt do much all game . Artest should of played Def on Roy on last shot.

He was, before he tripped on TMac. By the way this is supposed to be the game thread people.

The fact he played the 5 also meant he had quickness advantage against basically everyone he played on.

You must have forgot that Dirk has played center on occasions.he has also had LaFrentz, Shawn Bradley and Antoine Walker playing center next to him.

Amare needs to prove he can maintain his levels of production with a great PG. Dirk has, Stoudemire hasnt.

I'd take all over those guys over Jahidi White, Brian Skinner and anyone else we had, bar probably Kurt Thomas.

So you mention the quickness advantage, yet fail to mention the distinct rebounding disadvantage he is at.

If you look at possession rates this year, Phoenix have slowed right now with less pick and rolls and far more posting up.

Nash only had 6 assists yesterday, whilst Amare had 6 of his own. So you argument is flawed there.

`
He is only an average rebounder whatever position he plays. Dirk plays in the mid-post, so he is also at a significant disadvantage

yes, and they've only played 4 games, so dont bother citing this as evidence

Gerald Wallace wants a trade Funky...
Good. Hate to see a good player be tied down with a really bad team.

What teams need a good 3 man, or a small 4?
