Zero bench production, besides you guessed it bogans. he's put up some good junk points, but to only have 6 people score.........

And for gods sake, why not chuck JJ out there for the offensive sets on the last 2 minutes, he can the be the one to hack at them instead of Hedo and it gives another shooter.

B-Roy is amazing, can't wait to see how good he gets in a few years.

We love Roy! We love Roy!

On the flip-side, he is like 34 years old. Don't see him getting all that much better. Clutch player though.

Paul Pierce is so good when he needs to be it's scary.

It's amazing just how much he's changed over the years.

Used to be a glory-hogging chucker, who made Antoine Walker look a team player by comparison. I remember at one point Steve Francis was the only player who irritated me more.

These days he's a treat to watch.

Except when he is tearing Toronto a new one... :(

Game was pretty much in the ga until Pierce said otherwise. Good to see JON lighting it up, but what was with Bosh only taking 8 shots? We arent going to win many games with him taking the 5th most shots (JON, Jose, Parker and Kapono ahead of him).

On a side note, Mayo is going to be crazy good. Most rookies tend to struggle first year in the NBA, especially guards. He is shooting 45/45/85 and averaging close to 20. Last two games he has dropped in a combined 64 points with 7 threes.

He was always going to be the most NBA ready though...

The knock on him was always that he wasn't a pure PG and that he's pretty one-dimensional. As David Thorpe pointed out in his column, doesn't really get to the line, and also throwing in 3 TOs.

Need to watch him more in the pros, but reminds me a lot of Ben Gordon with better defense. Mind you, Gordon was average 15ppg in just 24mins his rookie year, so Mayo probably a bit behind on offense.

Most sources listed Beasley as the most NBA ready, but Mayo wouldnt have been far behind.

I think Mayo has more strings to his bow than Gordon, even at this early stage. He is a better finisher, more athletic and a much better defender.

Probably right about the other 2, but I can tell you Gordon was more athletic coming out of college.

I remember seeing him pull off a between-the-legs dunk. He just likes the weights a bit too much, so he's lost a lot of his spring given the muscle he's put on.

If anything, I'd say athleticism is a semi-weakness of Mayo's (he's no Wally Szszerbiak, but still).

Fair enough then, I didnt catch that much of Gordon when he was fresh out of college. Only watched him game the last two years or so.

I suppose Mayo has a different kind of athleticism - he is hard to pin down. Ive seen him split double teams like only Wade can.

mayo is a much better passer than gordon

and he still hasnt adjusted to nba

mayos doing better than durant did and i dont see any1 knocking him so much

beasley is a gun aswell though - quietely dominating with wade and very clever basketball nouse
