Never played this game always played NBA live but i wanna make the jump. Can anyone tell me if 2k9 has a dynasty mode like NBA live if so whats it like? is it better then NBA lives?

Get on board, you will not be disappointed. The dynasty from 2k8 craps on the dynasty from Live 07.

2k is better all round.

Yeah that's probably the demo which is available to download via your console I think. But yeah, if you are giving the demo 8.5/10 then that is a great sign!

Really liked it. Good gameplay, good graphics but a little too easy. They're relatively close matches for the most part, but all you have to do is find a successful route to the goal from the start of the match and just attack their in the same spot for the rest of the game. If you do that, you should be well on your way to victory. Not too bad overall, probably give it a 8.5 out of 10.

I'd say that it would be easy because the demo would be on easy mode, EB aren't going to set a demo to super hard as they want people to be able to pick it up and play it and get the general idea of the game, it will be much harder in the full version.

This is a game you should be buying, not downloading.
Possibly the greatest sports game ever is about to hit the shelves; pay some respect.

Yeah have to agree with you there. 2K went to the effort to put the game to PC (finally) while EA ****ed us over by not releasing it on PC.

Buy this game, torrent EA!
 
For anyone with a PS3 at least, create yourself a US account and download the demo, only about 450MB.

I have had a couple of goes of it, have to say it is ok, nothing too special at the moment, just looks like an upgrade of 2K8, everything is more fluid and looks alot more lifelike, but I have to say it didn't blow me away.

Will still be getting it, but I am a little disappointed.

Great looking player models that are improved from last year. Still an odd looking face here and there. Animations are silky smooth.

8.5 Sound
A solid soundtrack highlighted by Cool Kids’ 2K anthem. The commentary is solid but doesn’t go beyond the call of duty.

8.5 Gameplay
Refined gameplay that captures the speed of the NBA game without reverting to being an arcade title. A few annoyances here and there are all that hold this one back from a guaranteed spot in the Hall.

9.0 Lasting Appeal
The online play is great, despite the screwy camera, and The Association 2.0 has all the length and depth anyone could want from their franchise. Blacktop is a clear afterthought but it's still cool.

IGN is seriously annoying with their sport game reviews sometimes. It is clearly a better game then 8.5. Poor review TBH. Likewise with FIFA 09 which deserved more then 8.9. I bet PES will recieve a grand review with a belting score. The guy seriously has no clue.

I'll be getting the game hopefully by next Wednesday unless my girlfriend suprises me.

I can't wait!

OK so I just looked up the rankings for C's and PF's and he's not in either. Interestingly the T-Raps don't have a C listed...
 
Although they have put that live roster update thing into the game, so in theory Jawai should be available at some stage...

Although I'm a Rockets fan I just think he's something special.
