We don't want the Tigers history. Must United fans hated the Tigers as most were eitger Giants or Magic fans.

Yeah it was a good idea getting rid of the one club that lasted longer than all the other Melbourne clubs combined and making them into a faceless organisation hell bent on keeping the history that it's followers don't want.
Can only hope that the NBL and Kestleman realises that if the Tigers ever get back up they deserve what is theirs.

Obviously it was a good idea because most basketball fans in Melbourne hate the Tigers. People are voting with their feet as United are getting bigger crowds then the Tigers. Also plenty of Tigers fans understand why it was done and still follow Unuted.

Why not just start a new club?
Lets be honest, Larry changed the club from what it was to a heartless corporate entity that you seemed to have bought into.
United, isn't united as it broke the only Melbourne NBL club that lasted longer than the rest.

Because the idea was 1 club for all Melbourne basketball fans. Yes some Tigers fans have dropped off but many have stayed with United.
If its not working why are we getting bigger crowds then the Tigers?

If its an AFL club having a basketball team that might be different as none of the past history.

United started in 2014?? I don't believe their crowd figures have been publicly shown but I do know that their highest crowd still isn't higher than the Tigers.

If your talking about the Tigers crowds from the 90s your right but if your talking in more recent times United flog them for crowds.

You are the one talking of crowds, I just showed you that the Tigers still have the record for crowd size over United.
United are a soulless corporate entity that have hit on peoples hate for the Tigers more than the love for their OWN club, technically you and others like you have been tricked into supporting the tigers in a new light.
For those of us that were happy to still support the Tigers and were treated like rubbish by the league who we had supported for years still will never support the club or the league who shafted us.

But shouldn't your frustration be with all the Tigers fans that jumpwd off? The reality is there weren't enough of them left.
Chris Anstey put it well when asked if he felt for Tigers fans. He said 'yes but I also feel for Giants and Magic fans who haven't had a team to support'

The spectres and the tigers were always the power clubs
Tigers no junior domestic program but poached all the great talent
Spectres poached as well
( 13 year old playing division 1 changes club through romance , decimating previous club ) of course dumped pretty quickly
Players changing teams during season to enhance
State teams loaded with reps from those two narrow minded clubs and biased selectors
We won under 20s

Kay and Norton to Perth. Good gets for them, they really need some renewal in their local players as they've got an ageing local group. Could be in business with a few gun imports would need to upgrade Cooke Jr as a start. Steindl could be a great get if he gets back to playing how he was in the Crocs' last season.
