IMO the ladder before the playoffs will be

Wollongong
Victoria
Adelaide
Melbourne
Sydney
Perth

Townsville
West Sydney
Brisbane
Canberra
Cairns

In the playoffs:
Wollongong - should be favourites and I think will win back to back
Victoria - May make the grand final, can not win it
Adelaide - my second favourite in a very even league
Melbourne - If Gaze is back have a very good show. Were the best team in the league before Gaze's injury
Sydney - Are fading dramatically, and may not even make playoffs. Will probably hold on but history and there players being mentally pathetic means they will be bundled out quickly
Perth - If make the playoffs can have an impact. But I doubt whether they can win the title. Townsville in a similar boat to Perth, West Sydney would just be making up numbers and no one else has a chance of making the playoffs

Hawks and Titans look to be the two best teams in the NBL at the moment, though the Tigers would be right there with them if it wasn't for the injury to 'The Factor'. Sydney seem to have dropped right off (and isn't it wonderful to see?) while the Sixers will be there by virtue of their ability to win their home games (despite an inability to win away). I reckon the Crocs will sneak 6th spot due to their recent good form (though they've lost twice this weekend) and the fact that they have, at least, a few away wins (compared to one each for Perth and WS).

Winner probably either Titans or Hawks. I hope the Hawks.
Adelaide should make semis, but I don't think they have the experience to make the final 2.
Melbourne a chance if Gaze returns.
Sydney no chance as they are pretenders.
Perth could do some finals damage if they can get their act together.

Nobody cares about the rest. Melbourne will be lucky to make it in without Gaze, Sydney will steady but wont make waves in the playoffs. Everybody will want to avoid Perth as they'll be the real danger team....anyone of those 6 could win the whole thing.

I find this comment interesting after the Sixers took care of the Hawks tonight, 104-94, and in light of the fact we've beaten them each of the 3 times we played them this year.

Yeah, that's a fair call, looks like Townsville are just falling too far behind (and look in shocking form...losing to Cairns??), while I can't see Melbourne or Sydney (they've added a second import now, Isaac Burton, how the hell can they be under the salary cap??- Heal, Smith, Johnson, Melmeth, Nielsen, Drmic, Moore, etc. and now Burton) missing the finals. I grudgingly admit Perth are the favourites for 6th place, though I wouldn't completely rule out the Razorbacks just yet....the Sydney derby will be very interesting...

Yeah, I did go last night: East, Row Q, Seat 122. It's one of the corners at the Powerhouse...not a bad spot except it''s far back enough that the Sixer cheerleaders couldn't reach me with their balfour products.....nearly bagged a Monsters Inc. soft toy though

LOL please Jod, no one's running scared, we're just admitting that it's looking likely that Perth will scrape into 6th spot before exiting in the first round of the finals....but it's good to see you're not getting carried away again....

Nah man, he's there to keep the points spread in check....you watch....Kings now will lose by between 15 and 20 points each game at home and by no more than 30 away from the Superdome...
