my NBN installation is done, outside. Now waiting for TPG to connect inside my unit. Anyone here near Elwood with TPG NBN ? any good ? or shyte ?

Yes I specifically told the installation guys to give ME the FATTEST cable out of that bunch coming into our block there. I'm about 50m from the Elwood exchange so my cable better be fireproof too, due to excessive HD porn download.

Keep hearing that Australia has the worst NBN infrastructure in the world. People who I know that have NBN still complain it's slow.
The hilarious part is this was promoted as future proof, fast and reliable and our new modern whiz bang solution. Yet by the time it's available it's still waaaaay behind performance that other countries have had for years. I get that Australia is big and cabling takes time and money, but this has to be one of the most expensive stuff ups in infrastructure that a Government has ever done.

I cry a little on the inside when I see people overseas complaining about their 100mbps connection.

I have had 100mbps for about 6 years on cable here. NBN should be offering GB speeds

Highest I've peaked on cable is 96. Unfortunately we are the exception, not the norm. When I was in the States a few years ago I remember a Time Warner commercial on TV that was advertising their minimum package of 100mbps + cable TV for $49USD/mo, and a little more for a full home video surveillance package. All fully installed. 100mbps is a luxury here that most can't even get.

Mine sits on 121mbps :) However my point was, a properly designed NBN the max plan should be NBN1000 with NBN100 being the cheapy one

NBN techs drilled crap into our wall, ready date was 20th of June.... Pre-order deposit withdrawn from my account by TPG...Nothing from TPG until I contacted them on the 25th and they said "Oh sorry yes your start date has been delayed until January 2020". And they're budging on returning my deposit. God

Once 5G gets cheap is their any reason people are going stay with NBN?

5g has limited range and bandwidth it runs at, a leaf can block the signal. Great for where appropriate, but will not replace a fibre network

My area keeps getting the roll over deadline extended. Rollout commenced here September or October 2017 but was on and off due to issues they were having with HFC. I don't mind because every time it does Telstra offer me something else awesome for the mean time. The latest was completely uncapping my cable, though they did nuke my original package and increase my monthly bill as I was long out of contract. Positive is I know what speeds I'll be capable on when I do transition and it will be the same price with the speed boost.

Having it nerfed by still using copper was such a stupid decision by the Libs.
