Bit of a crisis at Henson today in the Sydney Uni v Canberra match......

A sink hole opened up in the centre of the ground. Game was delayed while the experts filled it with sand and other things, but it was deemed to be unsafe and the game was abandoned around half-time.
The scores at the time were treated as the final score so Uni had an easy win.
Results stand.

PS - and instant disqualification from the Tipping Contest for the first smart-arse who comments that you always knew that Sydney is a hole.........

why arent all neafl games in sydney played either before AFL game or at Blacktown?

btw..did anyone see Raph Clarke clean up the umpire at Redland v N T yesterday? now i know the ump is ok .....THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!!

Justabaraker,
I attended the Lions vs Giants game today.... very blusterly conditions but the surface was fine ,,,, was a very good game, some great patches of footy from both sides. Brisbane opened up with a 2 goal lead at quarter time and one was waiting for gws to break the shackles and bolt ahead,,, but to the Lions credit , they didnt allow that,,, in fact they were the better side all day , GWS, got to within one point late in the final 3 minutes, but The Lions kicked 2 quick goals to win.
For Brisbane, Robertson was bog,,,, Close and Freeman were good also.
Noticed a player for GWS in the name of Clarke ( no 49 ) ,,, dont know anything about him, but he was very impressive
