Review Neagle

He hasn't won any games off his own boot but the forward line has worked better since he came in. He's worth persisiting with as we don't have a better FF option at this stage. Hardingham will probably end up been a bigger goalkicker but you can't base a forward line around a medium-sized forward. It's Gumby and Neagle who provide the strucuture, with Gumby's long leads vital.

He faces Merrett and Lake in the next fortnight.

Will do his confidence the world of good getting smashed 4 weeks straight.

I think Ive seen enough for 2010 at senior level. He is THE most unconditioned (if that even is a word) player out of 600+ on AFL lists.

Have the pre season of your life Jay or toss it in.

I was disappointed that he played upfield - Wanted Neagle to experience playing on Prestigiacomo.

Poor Hardingham was forced to play on Presti-Collingwood may have wanted Presti to play on a different kind of forward in case this is needed in the finals.

Hope that neagle plays conventional FF next week. he can kick 4 or 5 goals on merrett who is out of form.

Looked out of sorts and disinterested today.

Apart from that one kick across goal into the hands of Carlisle, virtually a spectator today.

Missed an easy mark at the top of the 50 and looked slow.

Crawling to 30 games and little to show for them.

He's contracted btw, people.

Form's tailed off. Was alright when he came back. Looks knackered now. SOmeone reckoned the penny had finally dropped. Honestly would consider making the call immediately after pre-season next year.

As the previous poster said there are inferior players to get off our list first. I think can think of Quinn, Atkinson, Daniher and Dyson for a start. Next season is his last chance so he needs the pre-season of his life. Otherwise Carlisle will pass him by very quickly.

jesus ****, give the kid a chance to show what he's got without injuries

He would be behind Neagle atm in terms of getting another contact? Fair call? That is assuming we forget about how talented his brother is. Anyway Atkinson, Dyson and Quinn will be shown the door before Neagle but he needs to pull the finger out pronto. A second gamer who is all of 18 looked better.

he's been injured with a debilitating groin injury I believe.

I just think that calling for him to be cut when he hasn't even had teh chance to show his wares is ridiculous.

And that's quite aside from the Joe factor

Not sure who a fit Daniher would get a game ahead of once fit.
Gumby? No
Carlisle? No
Hurley? No
Pears? No
Hooker? No
Neagle? Still no

Doesn't leave too many places for him. Neagle is probably safe for now, but he's almost no chance atm of getting a game once (assuming we get him) we get Joe to the club. He's in strife when a skeleton calling himself a footballer is showing far more. A fit Mark Williams would easily push him out of the side.

Daniher isn't a KPP.

Id play him CHB this week, needs to learn how much effort opposition fwds put into leading for the ball and making an option. Too much to expect Richardson to teach our fwds how to make a lead FFS.

It's a shit state of affairs if AFL footballers need to be taught how to lead.

I also saw him for bendigo yesterday and thought he moved and presented well higher up the ground with Bock/Bellchambers at full forward, he did set up three or four goals for the day.
