Is there any one left to pursue? There are lots of apparent spuds and duds out there who look like going to other clubs. Why would they be interested? A premiership favourite wants him but he has no worth in the eyes of most on this forum. Interesting.

Who knows how interested we are, if at all. His management would be speaking to lots of clubs. I have no clue whether we actually met him & if so whether it was instigated by his management or us. Perhaps we meet lots of players for a variety of reasons.

I'm not privy to which or how many players/managers are speaking to which/how many clubs.

We're all entitled to our own opinions on oppo players.

His DE is 64%, Lippa who’s considered a great kick is 70%.
Long spotted up targets I50 on several occasion so combined with DE his kicking is fine.
Speed - he was listed in Top 5 in one of his games according to the AFL app, so he’s not slow.
He’s 21, improved every week and with excellent size he has heaps of upside.

Sydney: Heeney, Warner, Mills, Gulden, Rowbottom

If he had positional scope and only had to chop out against those guys fair enough, but for Long to become a best 22 mid for us, it'd pretty much ensure that we'd be a mid-table team at best.

Replace him with someone with a bit more positional scope and thus a more realistic chance of making it and contibuting to success.

We dont ask Tom Mitchell to be a speedster , yet we expect all elite traits from a developing 21 year old who has shown glimpses of being capable.
