Just wondering how many captains would be happy to sign a spinner with 21 wickets @ 23 this season if he became available?

I think there should not be amid season teading period, although I'm 60/40. My main consideration is that a team that wins a flag did so with players from other teams.
For me, I am unhappy with playingunder BP (CC) but will support my side until season end. At that stage I hope we can ressurect the Crocodiles. D4E, CR and myself have stuck together. I miss Stmookyj, and perhaps we an rebuild the crocs, probably under CR as captain and D4E as vc.

I do hope, though, that the WSC will prevail under a new captain, and there are some very good contenders.

I will add that BP is an excellent allrounder, very good test captain and has a lot to offer in the test arena. I really believe that he will lead us to the finals at the very least.

If a transfer period was put into place it would mainly be for people who have played less than a certain amount of games (say 5) and are struggling to get into a squad. These are the people who lose interest in the competition (Freo has a few of them) and I believe they should be given the chance to move on.

Agreed but peple who are unhappy with the captain should be able to move on but the reason can't be because i want to play finals.

the offer is there to come to SEM and get some coaching from dudeman Eddie :p
That would be like Shane Warne going to SA to get some coaching from Bailey, why would the best want to get coaching from some wannabe Dud? :p

why would "the best" be looking to leave a team that looks certain to make top 5 at least, if not top 2 or 3, and with a decent record like that also? mercenary if you ask me :p

If Craig Ryan is unhappy at his present team then the Allies would like it to be known that we'd love to have him on board with us for next season, we're long term admireres of this modest champion.

I think he'd enjoy it at the most succesful club in the history of the comp, to see him batting in partnership with Iceman would be a dream.

A player of his calibre deserves to be winning trophies & if he looks at the Allies he'll see that we're 2nd in the one day league & after this round will probably be 2nd or 3rd on the Test ladder.

you would only be doing that if you felt you were more important than your club.....the Crocs are giving you a go and you are paying them back with wickets...but if you are "testing the waters" then thats your call, and good luck to you
