Does anyone know of bar or club...anyplace to watch Essendon games around the Northern Beachs of Sydney? rUGBY ruGBY...everywhere @#$*#* Rugby!

The best you could probably do is the Aussie Rules Social Club in Kings Cross.

Its been around for a long, long time NY Mets.

It used to be the Social / Gambling club for the Sydney Australian Rules Community for years, It was going long before the Swans moved to Sydney in 1982.

Basically its your standard New South Wales - type League or RSL club. Lots of Poker Machines, cheap drinks and meals for members, a bad floor show every now and again, you know the kind of club I'm talking about ?

Inspite of the name, there is no guarantee that you can watch Australian Rules there, often you will find Rugby on the Big Screen and encounter Howls of protest if you try to watch anything different.

But it is the most reliable I have found, the Friday night game is usually on, and the Friday night game often features the Bombers (as you probably already know) so while the rest of Sydney is watching Rugby League, you can be reasonably certain the Club will have the footy on.

Its on Darlinghurst Road, just next to the Bourbon and Beefsteak. (Yup right in the heart of sleaze-land)
