Yeah I first tried it at Coopers Golf Day early November then had it a few times on tap after that. Was more surprised it took that long to buy in cartons.
December I first tried it. Goes ok .. still prefer Pale

There are far too many negative threads on our board after a few losses. If the club followed the advice on here there would be no coaching or admin senior staff left plus quite a few players gone. How about we place all these negative pieces of bs into one mega-thread and call it something like NEGATIVE NEALS AND NELLIES POST HERE. That way the perennially depressed types that inhabit our board along with the trolls from other clubs that infest us will have a home and the rest of us might get on with some rational debate about the club and where we are at present.
FFS pull yourselves together. You follow a bloody good football club that achieves more than most. Yeah, we haven't won the Big One for a couple of decades yada yada yada...Boys Club....Coaches no good...David Mackay.....yada yada yada....fitness staff....David Mackay....f***ed culture....David Mackay....yada yada yada. Getting to the stage where the misery guts on here spend inordinate amounts of time being miserable and trying to bring the rest of us down with them
Buck your ideas up.

I would classify this as a negative post

wow ok. What a bizarre thread to start.
He's a thought, start the "everything is awesome" thread, bury your head in the sand and enjoy the next 20 years of mediocrity. I'm really looking forward to when we appoint Brett Burton as CEO. Should be fun.

This thread has attracted two of the strangest posts, ever:

You can tell things are going badly for our club when the talcum powder bunch start turning their attention to whinging about 'negative' posting.

Yep, the solution has always been to silence dissent. That's what our club doesnt have enough- a culture of cosy complicity.

The AFC is competitive always has been it took an unusual individual to win us two flags

Pyke is conservative and competitive as was Neil craig

Our whole staff in fact is conservative and plays the percentages of looking for competitive outcomes

Do we need eccentric people like blight to take us back to a flag

The most compelling part of the blight tale is that he was allowed to break the boys club, even momentarily. Can anyone imagine the club choosing a coach these days that says he needs to move on our senior players?

They'd be asking which area of the football department those senior players should be given to run.

Sooner or later they will realise they will not win a flag by not taking risks that putting everything on black maybe the option instead of hedging your bets like every person that works for the AFC does and you’re right it’s culture because everyone in the club has that attitude no one is immune however don’t blame the staff they wouldn’t be working their if they didn’t have the play the percentages attitude

Is winning a flag a greater priority than, say, everyone continuing to have safe and cosy jobs? How can we be sure of that?

You have to take risks, go through some pain, to win flags. That can put jobs at risk. Would we ever really do that?

That's why for years we prioritised a nice safe 8th over getting top draft picks.

How can we be sure if that you ask?

Historical information gives us the answer

I would be more than happy to bottom out

Yes correct everyone is concerned for their job and bottoming out will undoubtedly cost jobs which may be our problem

 You lasted until last week?

I've been looking to next year since Gov checked out at the last minute of the Port game. That was so typical of our season.:thumbsdown:

There are far too many positive threads on our board after dropping out of the 8. If the club followed the positive advice on here there would be no coaching or admin changes ever plus no players would ever be dropped. How about we place all these positive pieces of bs into one mega-thread and call it something like POSITIVE PETES AND SYCOPHANT SYLVIAS POST HERE. That way the perennially positive types that inhabit our board and believe the club can do nothing wrong will have a safe space where everyone is free from criticism and the rest of us might get on with some rational debate about the club and where we are at present (9th).
FFS pull yourselves together. You follow a football club that is more worried about jobs for the boys over success. Yeah, we made the Big One last year yada yada yada...Coaches know more than we do....Injurie reporting is 100% transparent...Crouch's injury has been handled great.....yada yada yada....Premiership window....true supporter....successful club....true supporter....yada yada yada. Getting to the stage where the suck ups on here spend inordinate amounts of time bagging anyone who dares question the club and claiming anyone who can see what the club is doing wrong isn't a real fan.

What positive posts are you reading?

I'm interested to know where you are finding this content.

I think the issue is not so much about too many negative threads but too many posters who fail to find anything positive about the club.

Their are a lot of posters who appear to have made it a lifes work to only post negatives. Nothing is ever good enough for them even during times of success. They put themselves up as the exoerts in everything and are never wrong.

An occasional positive post would change this perception. I think this is what the OP is trying to convey

You must give blight credit for walking into the club and accepting responsibility for sacking everyone who was going to be sacked anyway

Jars stood up to the bullshit with Robert Shaw, nothing to do with blight. Unless blight had some thing to hide. Jars was washed up physically. Was never playing in 97

McDermott already admitted he was retiring anyway.

I don't know if mcGuinness deserved the excuse he was given

He has history everywhere he goes causing shit.

Honestly for the last few years (likely just my experience) this hasn't been the case at all. This board has been continuously restless and critical. Some do it in a constructive way (i.e. quality posters) while others jump on board without adding anything any value at all but still consider themselves above everyone else all the same.

Several (not many) posters only ever post optimistically, even though they say they dont, and they're derided (and bullied) over and over again because everyone knows deep down our fan base for the most part reflects the same sentiment and will never demand change, so let's overcompensate when we read something that reminds us of this.

Basically to echo a post above, I dont know where you're getting this idea that there's an undercurrent of acceptance on this board.

As if negative threads aren't warranted in a time like this.

This is a once-in-a-generation flag window being squandered. That is a big deal, and it is not positive.
This season is not cooked yet.

We are finding out how much cameron, Smith and lever meant to us.

Smith's pace in the hb line
Cameron's pace at hf
Lever reading of the play

Zone is not working so well. Unable to keep pressure on

There's reasons were shit and it's not because of culture

You would say Tex's injury concerns along with Smith, Sloane and Crouches out weigh the loss of Cameron and lever

but Tex isn't getting younger and Sloane looks gone and crouch is just injury prone and will be lucky to play 150 games because of it

I don't think I've seen any posters who are positively deluded in their thinking that we're guaranteed of making the GF this year. Especially after the demoralising loss against the Dees, no one has yet been brave enough to say "we're the hot favourites this year!"

The point of the OP I believe, is for us to take some breather and see it from some perspective instead of typing negative posts after negative posts ad infinitum. This is a very bad period for us in the past 1 month window, and being fans, we owe it to ourselves to be honest with how we feel, and also we owe the club some respect for the efforts they've performed with the weight of injuries piling on with each week.

Good football club?
Does better than most?

Please post the metrics you are using to measure this as reality disagrees

Jenny tried it already and it was an utter failure of a thread.
