Had enough of all this waiting time to put up and announce where he wants to go.

As much as i don't like it, this is a good move by Carlton. They obviously have some cash left over from the dead cardboard crook - even after all his hookers and mistresses are paid off.

The decision to go to the cheats will be more of an indictment on Craig than them if he does go there.

I'm at a loss why all clubs are throwing themselves at the feet of Craig, yet a guy like Rocket Eade remains in abyss, Unless he is happy to remain that way?

Isn't the club 8 mill in debt? I really hope the new pokie laws coming in because Carlton would collapse without pokie revenue.

JK, I believe this is more to do with Rocket still holding out for a senior gig while Neil has stated he does not want to be a senior coach again. I won't be surprised if Rocket gets snapped up after the Saints job is filled.

Craig also has some outstanding credentials in player development and sports science.

Careful, keep speaking like that and you'll lose your mod priv... oh, wait :eek: :cool:

I wonder how Ratten would feel about that?:D

Did they make it a condition of the new contract? Or did they just do it without consultation?? I still see the Tiges as best positioned. But we'll see how it pans out.:thumbsu:

:D

I'm reading the situation with Neil Craig as follows;

Has agreed (either in principal, or signed) however;

Richmond want the "positive press" associated with his appointment.
So, will make his announced straight after the GF ( 1 -3 days after). This way, all the press & attention is on the RFC.

This makes sense to me, big time; Any press asking Craig where he is with any decision will be answered as: Have not made up my mind as yet however, l expect to make my desicion over the coming days....

WHAT DO YOU THINK, GUYS?
:thumbsu:

Lol he has Diplomatic Immunity on this board.........

he is dead - tick
he was involved in cardboard - tick
he was a crook - tick
he had dealings with hookers and mistresses - tick
they now have to be paid off - tick
carlton are convicted cheats - tick
if craig goes there he is going purely for the cash - tick
If they get him its a good move for them - tick
This is the Richmond board - tick

I think i am safe :D

You know what, we should seriously consider Balme as well. If we could snag that bloke, i couldn't care about Craig TBH. Forgot about Balmey.

His methods worked well over 10 years ago, their's no evidence to show that his methods will work in the modern era, in fact it wasn't so long ago that the players had to step in and tell Craig that he was over working them.

Craig may have good credentials, but his time as senior coach has shown me nothing what so ever to get excited about him coming to Tigerland.

He was behind the scenes when Adelaide won their GF's but they did have one of the greatest football people of all time coaching them in Blight. He then with a top notch list, had a very good win/loss record as coach, but IMO cost himself a Premiership with his game plan and training ideas.

As a coach I would avoid at all costs, but I'm sure he would be of good value in other areas.

pretty sure Balme re-signed with Cats just this year.
