As a coach I would avoid at all costs, but I'm sure he would be of good value in other areas.

I'm sure he would but I doubt I'll lose any sleep if we don't land him, I'd actually prefer it if we brought in some fresh new faces with fresh ideas.

What makes you so confident we are in the best position in regards to getting Craig? Sick of waiting. Also the fact he could of already given his word to the club that he is coming to us is possible as well? As if he would tell anyone either way!

Craig sounds like he's smarter than a tree full of owls but the record books suggest otherwise.

I still think he could give us something, behind the scenes, but I get very concerned when excitement levels go crazy over someone like this. Look at what's happened at Meltank. Why is Garry Lyon the messiah? He would know jack about a modern football operation, but thought he did, in conjunction with like minded mates, and torched Dean Bailey (who DID know how a modern footy dept works). Funny how Lyon backpedalled from landing the big fish when he finally got an understanding of what was required. Neeld would know how to do it (similar to Bailey!!! the bloke they sacked!).

Hopefully we don't get starstruck when hiring and trading players. It'll end in tears.

I'd like to say I have inside info but that would be a ly. I'm just thinking about it purely as a completely unbiased observer;). I think of lists, coaching groups rep & integrity, facilities, enthusiasm etc and for me the choice is clear and my opinion is. The RFC are going places if craig is with that he'll be on board if not there will be someone else who will be there when the time is right. So as far as I'm concered we can't lose:thumbsu:

We are a club finally on the way back up to the top hopefully with massive support and even greater passion. Carlton are lying corrupt filth, Melbourne are a bit of a basket case ATM Brisbane doesn't look all that stable with all the people leaving and WC although a massive club with great recourses and never seem to be in trouble are all the way in Perth and he wants to come to Melbourne.
We are a very attractive option you would think.

Yeah i would like to think we would be attractive for Craig as he is clearly interested in us. Hopefully the offer Richmond have put forward is enough for him to come over. Sick of waiting grr. Even if we dont get him as long as he does not go to Melbourne or Carlton i would be happy.
 
So were Healy and Russell being smart-asses on 3aw when they said that caro has an article in tomorrow's paper stating that Craig has been signed by Richmond, or were they actually being serious, did anyone catch it?

Just before the 7 olock news I think. But I wasn't sure whether they were serious or not, as I was driving my daughter to netball and only heard it in passing

Don't tease us for weeks on end make your decision now so we can focus on other things like the list and recruitments.
