Hardwick is a gun, him and Craigy would be a fantastic combo.

With the list you're putting together, with those two in the mix, you've got to be very optimistic about the future - and I think your Club will also become one that players WANT to be at/go to.

King Elvis is my favorite foreign poster this postseason

So much for the Box seat......two weeks of mindless posts we will go stir crazy:D

I thought it wasn't that positive. Of course the Lions are going to say they're in with a chance, but I'd take the local knowledge of Rucci and the Richmond insight of Caro above this bloke from north of the tweed

Can you imagen hardwicks and neils presence at the draft combine and to other players

Lions make an offer we will beat it

Lock it down tigers

I think i agree with you here King-E
specially with a midfield consisting of future champs in

Delidio,Cotchin,Martin,Conca,Dangerfield,Foley,Houli,Grigg.

Future Looks Bright.

You missed Gaff

In all seriousness Jon Ralph said in his online blog today that Danger loved Craig and would be a good chance to leave the crows. But at the end of next year not this year.

Signing Neil Craig would be MASSIVE for Richmond FC.

I hope we give a big Dustin Martin-esque "Don't Argue!!!" to the likes of the Lions by giving him an offer that they can't match/Neil can't refuse.

Go Tigers!

I think this all boils down to Craig's future aspirations.

If he is content going back to his roots as a High performance coach, I think we are a great fit. A young club going places, fantastic new facilities, a place he can really make a mark in that role.

If he harbours ambitions of being a Senior Coach again. I think he would fancy Brisbane...

After all, who's he more likely to replace Hardwick or Voss?

Vossy is pretty safe he does all the hiring and firing up here in brissie, hardly likely to sack himself:cool:

N.Craig is on record as saying he will not coach another afl team.

the advertiser today seems to think he is keen on the lions now

Link?

Otherwise, I suspect it is just a NWS rehash of the Courier Mail's article this am that said the Lions were not dead yet

I won't be slashing my wrists if he doesn't join us, but I would really really like it if he did

I'm hearing that Harvey's sacking has come about because of his stubbornness during selection meetings.

He insisted playing players that were 50/50 and glossed over medical facts.

Either way, baffling decision, the guy has recruited them some gems, definitely shocking.

Wouldn't want a guy who is hard to work with at our club, team players mean everything. We don't need to hire everyone who has AFL experience.

my link was the paper in the lunch room cant be bothered looking for an online one but it was basically a fluff article similar to the courier mails one i would imagine :thumbsu:

whats this goss on mark harvey??????

Dont think thats necessarily the case mate .

Not sure what the exact nuts and bolts are but he worked his way up through the ranks @ Adelaide in various roles i think . Tactics , preparation , fitness .

Not sure exactly but would like to know his Bio pre his coaching days .

Maybe in a Laidley way he is better suited to a more behind the scenes role rather than the upfront head coaching gig

Will not state I know a great amount of detail re Craig's bio but I do know he was an integral coach and manager of the AIS cycling high performance program in SA before becoming a coach at Adelaide.

He has a sports science degree and his knowledge within this realm was what alerted and attracted the Crows to him originally. I will stand corrected but I think he may be one of only two coaches in VFL / AFL history to never having played a game at the level prior to coaching.

I have said it before and will happily repeat it, we need him onboard. It bridges a perceived gap in this area with the teams like Colonwood and may help to get ahead of the pack in future.
